We love those longer dinners at places like Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian, Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya in EPCOT, and California Grill at the Contemporary. However, is there anything MORE chill than a nice afternoon tea? Well, Disney World hasn’t had an afternoon tea offering in QUITE a while (the Grand Floridian Garden View Tea Room never reopened after 2020), but now it has one again! So come with us as we check out the NEW afternoon tea at The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers at the BoardWalk!

NEWS: Reservations Are OPEN for a NEW Cake Bake Shop Experience in Disney World

The Cake Bake Shop is officially open at Disney World for an extravagant dining experience!

The new restaurant and bakery are along the boardwalk right by Disney’s BoardWalk Inn resort. It features an elegant interior, an amazing environment, and delicious food. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while the bakery is open daily from 7AM to 11PM for you to stop by and try some yummy pastries and desserts. Recently, a new dining option was added to the list — Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea. We’ve tried breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the bakery and shared a first look at those options for you, and now Gwendolyn Rogers, the owner, has shared a first look at the afternoon tea experience!

There’s a NEW restaurant in Disney World!

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers recently opened at Disney’s BoardWalk, and it originally made waves with its high prices. But after some trial meals and lowering the prices on the menu, they finally had a grand opening, and we got to stop by to try several of the items on the menu. Even though we had a few meals there, we were waiting for one special offering that the restaurant promised…and now it’s coming soon!

We have a new spot for Afternoon Tea!

Admittedly, we are still mourning the fact that the Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has not brought back its Afternoon Tea experience. While we wait for The Cake Bake Shop to open and debut its own Afternoon Tea service, we have another option for an Afternoon Tea experience in Walt Disney World. Bet you didn’t know about THIS fun little dining experience. Prepare to be amazed!

Disney’s Biggest Failures of 2023

Well, you can say that in 2023 a LOT has been going on with The Walt Disney Company and not all of it has been good.

When we heard The Cake Bake Shop was coming to Disney World, we were beyond excited! Sweet and savory menus, afternoon tea service, a whimsical atmosphere…who wouldn’t be excited?! So, in preparation for the opening of this new restaurant, we interviewed the owner, Gwendolyn Rogers, and took a look at what the menu and pricing could be. The restaurant was supposed to open in 2023, but now we just got word that is not happening.
