Of course, flying brings with it some challenges, particularly the chance of a flight getting delayed or canceled. The biggest challenge, though, is paying for that airfare. Although you can occasionally score some good deals and discounts, there are still two times in 2023 when it’s probably going to be MORE expensive to fly.

We’ve told you a bit about budgeting for those trips, but one thing that seems to be getting more expensive every day is airfare. However, being a member of an airline rewards club could potentially earn you free flights, and now there’s a way to get that free flight for LESS points or miles.

But, two US Senators have reintroduced legislation that seeks to strengthen protections for airline passengers should a similar situation arise again. Here’s what we know.

Many guests fly to Disney World, most arriving at Orlando International Airport, which has flights to and from places ALL over the world. Over the past few years, we’ve seen several new airlines at the airport, including Norse Airlines, Play Airlines, Breeze Airways, and more. We previously told you about another NEW airline coming to Orlando soon, but now those flights have started!
By now, you’ve probably heard about the struggles that Southwest Airlines faced back in December 2022.

Due to a combination of issues with weather, scheduling, and holiday travel, thousands of flights were canceled over a period of multiple days, leaving many customers (and even Southwest employees) upset. We’ve been following the news since then to see how the company is recovering and encouraging customers to come back, and now we’ve got some updates from their recent earnings call!
To say the holiday travel season was a little chaotic is a great understatement. Even after bad weather grounded flights all over the U.S., Southwest Airlines continued to cancel thousands of flights FOR DAYS even after the weather had cleared, leaving passengers stranded.

As the problem dragged on, Southwest Airlines’ CEO released a public apology video. Eventually, Southwest’s flight schedule returned to normal, and the airline began issuing refunds to affected passengers. However, for some, that isn’t enough, and a lawsuit has been filed against the company.
