The True Story Behind The Disney Food Blog Fingernails
“Let me see your nails!” That’s honestly one of the first things readers say to me when I meet them in the parks!
Since Disney Food Blog historically has been a “faceless” brand (early on it was always our policy to stay anonymous so that we could report on the true experience that any guest would receive when they went to a Disney restaurant or attraction…like an old school food critic), but in all of my photos I always had a manicure. And then, when we hired Tina (who was our primary reporter in the parks for 5 years), her nails were always immaculate — as well as the rest of her; she’s a style ICON!!!
Three Times I REALLY Wanted To Quit When I Was Building Disney Food Blog
We are celebrating the 15th anniversary of Disney Food Blog this year!
When I look back over 15 years of DFB, it is easy to find many things to celebrate. But I’m not going to lie and say it was all pretty cupcakes and yummy totchos and delectable plastic cheese. And if I’m being completely honest here, there were definitely times when I wanted to quit.

From LIME Dole Whip to Plastic Cheese to the original Carrot Cake Cookie, I started sharing all of my favorites — as well as the tips and tricks for planning a Disney World vacation I’ve learned from years of Disney travel — and people (like YOU, THANK YOU!!) started following along. And then came the time to decide to stop working for other people and make that side hustle my full-time gig. But man, there are some things I know now that I wish I knew then.
