Okay, do you consider Genie+ a MUST in Disney World these days?

So many of us do because, let’s face it — we hate waiting in long lines, and Genie+ lets us use those shorter Lightning Lanes at many rides. However, Genie+ can get SUPER pricey sometimes, especially on busier days in Disney World (that surge pricing is NO joke). But on some days, like on December 10th, the price of Genie+ outright shocks us — but for a different reason.
There are so many underrated activities in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We’re not sure everyone takes full advantage of everything at this park. Yes, you can go on a safari and visit Pandora, but you can also check out the park’s many walking trails and see even MORE animals.

PLUS, you can head to Rafiki’s Planet Watch and visit Conservation Station, where you can actually PET animals and see the Disney World veterinarians at work. Conservation Station is also home to the Animation Experience, where you can learn to draw Disney characters — and now, a NEW drawing lesson is available.
There’s a lot you need to think about when planning a Disney World vacation.

However, the planning doesn’t end once you’ve arrived in Orlando and get checked into your hotel. You’ll also need to keep an eye on Disney World’s schedule because not all attractions and experiences are open until park close. We realized this today when we were looking at the schedule for a ride in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Animal Kingdom is not typically the park that immediately comes to mind when you think about Disney World.

However, it is many people’s favorite park, especially kids’, because of all the animals and genuine beauty of nature you can feel in the theme park.

One thing a lot of us overlook at Animal Kingdom, though, is its food. It has great rides and shows, that are well-known, but people don’t often talk about the food. Well, we’re not those people, because Animal Kingdom has some AMAZING food options. But out of its 33 different dining options, there are FIVE that stand out to us the most.

There are new things popping up at Disney World seemingly every day.

In order for all this change to happen, though, we sometimes have to say goodbye. Over the years, we’ve bid our farewells to attractions, shops, and even restaurants. Over the past couple years in particular, though, there have been several temporary closures for Disney World restaurants, and even a few permanent closures, or closures that happened a WHILE ago but still haven’t reopened. Granted, the holidays started WELL before Thanksgiving in Disney World, but you know what we mean! So let’s talk about food. Now, we’re a little disappointed that Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs won’t be opening in Disney World until 2024. But the hot chocolate flight we recently had made us feel better. Now, though, let’s look at restaurant menu changes in Disney World, because those are ALWAYS happening, no matter what.

Most recently, we’ve seen a massive EPCOT transformation begin to head toward completion. We’ve even seen the TRON ride finally open. There are new restaurants on the way. Plus Disney has some BIG plans for other parts of the resort. Some of those plans, though, are SUPER secret — and well, WE HAVE QUESTIONS.
Patience may be a virtue, but that doesn’t mean it’s always necessary.

When booking a trip to Disney World, it’s imperative to understand you’re going to do a lot of waiting. Whether it be for your favorite ride, a new show, or sit-down dining, part of the Disney World experience is the endless abundance of lines. Although Disney World has gotten better with queue theming and virtual queues, you’re still wasting so much time doing nothing. With that said, there are select Disney World attractions with average wait times that are sure to put a smile on your face.
