Today is a HUGE day for The Walt Disney Company.

That’s because the company is releasing its earnings report and having its earnings call to fill us in on how the company is doing financially. We’re learning more about how EACH aspect of the business is doing, including streaming and parks, but we’re also getting some big announcements, and one HUGE announcement just dropped. Disney just revealed the release date for Moana 2.
We’re at Destination D23 and there has been a LOT going on.

We’ve had sneak peeks of upcoming Disney merchandise. We had a TON of announcements yesterday about Disney Parks (and we’re still trying to wrap our heads around all of it). Now, we’ve had an opportunity to learn even MORE about Disney’s upcoming animated movie Wish, PLUS we got to see Asha in person for the first time!

Those characters are EVEN cuter when they’re babies, though (really, what is CUTER than an animated Disney baby)? But which one is the cutest? Well, we’re pitting these adorable kiddos against each other to see which one is the best to those that are still cute.Â
Disney has been releasing a TON of content lately — from Encanto to Turning Red to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

But, even with all of this original content coming out, it’s still SO exciting to hear about NEW projects that are yet to be released. And Disney just revealed the teaser trailer for their latest movie!

Not only does it allow us to stream our favorite classic Disney movies over and over, but it also allows us to watch some of Disney and Pixar’s newest creations. In 2020, Pixar released two films on the platform, Onward, and Soul, and this past summer we were treated to Luca! Now there’s been a big announcement about Pixar’s next upcoming movie.
We’ll admit we were pretty excited when Walt Disney Animation Studios announced that its 60th feature film would be Encanto.

The first trailer was just MAGICAL, and the new Encanto merchandise that just dropped is pretty great (especially the GORGEOUS Encanto Minnie Ears). Now that the movie has been released, we’re enjoying learning much more about it and just what went into the movie’s music!
It’s hard to believe the classic Disney animated movie The Lady and the Tramp celebrated its 65th anniversary last year!

But we get the movie’s timeless appeal, as well as its sweet love story. And how perfect is it to celebrate this iconic couple with Valentine’s Day quite literally around the corner?
Obviously, we get excited about new Disney movies, particularly new animated features because that’s what so many of us were raised on. Unfortunately, 2020 hasn’t been kind to the movie industry, with many upcoming movies getting delayed.

One of those delayed films is Raya and the Last Dragon, which was originally supposed to release this fall. Instead, Disney pushed its release date back to March 12, 2021.
We’ve been watching A LOT of Disney movies lately, and while these films are fresh in our mind, we’re pitting them against each other in our Disney Movies Throw Down Bracket!
