Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
We’re doing great as we make our way across Disney World day in and day out, eating all the things like HOLIDAY treats, checking out all the fun new merchandise, and enjoying the holiday decorations at the parks. It’s a great time of the year to be at Disney World. But we’ve also spent some time at the Disney World hotels — so let’s see what’s new there!
There are some great things to do while staying at a Disney World resort hotel including craft activities, movies under the stars, and more.
Art of Animation pool
One Disney World hotel amenity that many guests take advantage of no matter what hotel they’re staying at is…the POOL! We’ve seen a number of pools close for some refurbishment in Disney World over the past few months, and more refurbishments have been announced for the future. Now, some more Disney World hotel pools have been added to the refurbishment list. If you are planning on staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort in early 2022 and hoping to use some of its pools, here’s what you need to know.

Now that we’ve done the Thanksgiving thing at Disney World, we’re ushering in the holidays — we started with the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, where we checked out some amazing food, some awesome entertainment, and got to watch the first Candlelight Processional since 2019! But we’ve also visited many of Disney World’s hotels to check out the latest there!

Disney’s Pop Century Resort
As their name implies, Value Resorts can definitely bring a lot of value to your Disney World vacation. But if you go in with the wrong expectations, you will quickly discover some of the MAJOR problems with these hotels.
Disney World hotels aren’t your average hotels. These are magical places where magical experiences, meals, and memories occur! They’re also places where RIDICULOUS things can — sometimes — happen!

There is nothing quite like stepping onto Main Street, U.S.A., and getting that first glimpse of Cinderella Castle, but there’s also nothing like the iconic smells that we get all over Disney World.

We’re talking about that musty — but somehow pleasant — smell of Pirates of the Caribbean, or the smell of baked goods wafting from Main Street Confectionery, or the strong smell of pineapple at Aloha Isle. All these smells instantly create even more magic at the parks!

What a week, right? The holidays have officially arrived and we’ve been to TWO after hours parties — one at Disney World AND one at Disneyland. And we’re eating a ton of holiday snacks and enjoying the holiday vibes at the parks and the hotels. Speaking of Disney World’s hotels… .

October was QUITE the month at Disney World. So much happened!

In the past month alone, THREE new restaurants opened (Steakhouse 71, Space 220, and La Crêperie de Paris), the 50th anniversary snacks arrived, AND we were still seeing some Halloween snacks getting introduced. So we’ve got quite a few menu updates to share with you from October.
It’s the holiday season at Disney World! Overnight, the parks went from spooky to festive and there’s plenty of merch, treats, and holiday overlays to check out.
