Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration will air on ABC on December 15th, 2022, starring H.E.R. as Belle and Josh Groban as the Beast, and it will be a unique combo of animation and live-action recorded in front of a live audience. Remember when we told you about the Beauty and the Beast special that was in the works, starring Josh Groban as the Beast and H.E.R. as Belle? Then we all got excited when Disney confirmed Shania Twain as Mrs. Potts and Martin Short as Lumiere. Well, we’ve got a first look at the special now!
UPDATE: Martin Short is officially confirmed to play Lumiere and Shaina Twain is confirmed to play Mrs. Potts in the ABC special, according to Deadline.
It’s a tale as old as time (and sorry, not sorry, if you just started singing that song). In this case, it’s a tale that will turn 30 years old soon, and there’s going to be a new special to celebrate it.

That’s right, the Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Anniversary Celebration is set to air LIVE on ABC on December 15th of this year, and it’s already got a star-studded line-up: Josh Groban as the Beast, H.E.R as Belle, Joshua Henry as Gaston, David Alan Grier as Cogsworth, and Rita Moreno as the Narrator. But just you wait, because even MORE huge stars are set to be a part of the production.
