2023 is going to be a BIG year for Disney World!

We’ve got the opening of the TRON coaster in Magic Kingdom, the completion of the EPCOT transformation, and the arrival of Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Hollywood Studios. So many things are opening! But if you don’t want to wait until next year to experience the excitement, there’s one big opening coming VERY soon.

In 2023, Summer House on the Lake is set to open in Disney Springs, The Cake Bake Shop will open at Disney’s BoardWalk, and Roundup Rodeo BBQ will open in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But another Disney spot might be opening up even sooner!

New attractions open, while old ones close. There’s always some kind of construction going on. That’s all part of Walt Disney’s original vision, after all — parks that change and expand and grow with the times. So one thing we can be sure of in 2023 is that there’s going to be even MORE change from 2022.

Whether you’re keeping track of the big things like the brand new TRON ride opening at Magic Kingdom in the spring or the smaller things like new signs, there’s a long list of things to keep track of as a Disney fan. Now, that list is getting even longer because we have more information on a new coffee shop at Disney World!
Our sweet tooths are back with a vengeance after the announcement of a new Disney World restaurant, The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers.

Promising both sweet and savory options, this new spot is scheduled to open in 2023 at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. We cannot WAIT to sample all of the goodies. And while it isn’t fully open yet, we just got some more details on this highly-anticipated location!
It’s hard to believe that we’re at the end of the year, and it’s been an eventful one at Disney World restaurants!

It’s been a busy week, too — a brand new gelato cart just opened in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (and we reviewed it here). We’ve also been eating even MORE holiday snacks and enjoying everything at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. We’ve got TWO new attractions coming to the parks (TRON Lightcycle Run and Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana). We’ve got several new restaurants on the way, too, including Roundup Rodeo BBQ, as well as The Cake Bake Shop. Speaking of The Cake Bake Shop, we’ve got a BIG update to share with you!
You don’t need a ticket to see some of Disney World’s best holiday displays or try some festive treats!
Disney’s Beach Club Gingerbread Carousel
At Disney’s Beach Club, you can check out the GIANT gingerbread carousel display, and afterward, you can head to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop for a returning holiday treat!
Listen, the amount of holiday sweets we’ve eaten as a company in the past few weeks is enough to keep half the dentists in America in business…
So many sweet treats!
…but we’re not stopping now! We’ve tried sweets all around the Disney World parks and resorts as Christmas, Hanukkah, and Thanksgiving treats arrived, and now it’s time to hit up ANOTHER gingerbread display to see what they’ve got in store. Ho ho ho, let’s go!
