Where to Get Waffles in Walt Disney World

We’ve gathered all kinds of waffle choices in order to bring this Waffle Gallery to you! Whether you’re hankering for a Belgian waffle with fruit topping, a waffle with powdered sugar, a Mickey shaped breakfast waffle, or even a waffle sandwich – we’ve got the deets on where to take care of your craving.

There are some really creative waffle creations in the mix, so be sure to add one or more of these waffle choices to your next Walt Disney World visit.

Yes, Disney World menus are ever-changing so always check the most recent menus prior to your visit. The waffles listed below are in alphabetical order based on how they’re listed on Walt Disney World menus.

at the Wilderness Lodge is home to some comforting waffle creations on the regular and kid’s breakfast menus. You’ll find more to tempt you further down in this list. The Bananas Foster Waffles are covered with warm bananas in a buttered rum-flavored sauce. Plus, they are Mickey-shaped!

  • A Belgian waffle with Maple Butter and Candied Pecan Topping is offered at the Whispering Canyon Cafe in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
  • Seasonal Fresh Fruit, Maple Syrup and Whipped Cream accompany the Belgian waffle offered at Wolfgang Puck Express, Downtown Disney Marketplace.

At the AMC Dine-In Theatre in Downtown Disney, a pair of warm Belgian waffles are infused with maple flavor, then topped with vanilla ice cream, drizzled in luscious caramel sauce and topped with a generous sprinkle of sweet and savory candied bacon. What a dessert!

Update: Wilderness Waffles are no longer being served at Roaring Fork. They are now on the menu at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Join me in welcoming back Marc Stumbo with a review of the sweet breakfast waffle dishes at Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. I’ve been wanting to share these for a long time!

“Roaring Fork,” which I believe translates roughly to “Fishy sign, hidden Mickey Waffles” is located deep inside the majestic Wilderness Lodge on Bay Lake.

My Google translate window might be a bit off, but the point remains that Roaring Fork is a hidden gem in an amazing resort that doesn’t force you to pay for a buffet to get at those tasty, tasty Mickey Waffles.

Above you can see the stunning lobby of the Wilderness Lodge, home of the Whispering Canyon Café serving all-you-can-eat Mickey Waffles for breakfast. One day, you’ll graduate to that level of waffle consuming prowess, but today is a training run at an eatery around the corner.

Resist the temptation that is the Whispering Canyon Café and look for this long hallway to Roaring Fork. It will serve as today’s gateway to flavor country.

I know what you’re thinking when looking at that photo…how did he get a shot with nobody in it? Disney Magic, my friends. At the end of this long hallway is our prize: the Roaring Fork quick service dining location where we’ll be eating breakfast.

Cars Land Restaurants: What We Know So Far

As we get closer to the June 15, 2012 opening of the new Cars Land in Disney California Adventure, we wanted to take a look at what we know so far about the Radiator Springs’ restaurants.

After all, we’ve come along way in gathering details about these venues since our earlier reports. And while we’re not holding our collective breath, we’re still crossing our fingers that someday we’ll see an announcement for a drive-in type restaurant similar to the Sci-Fi Dine-In at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.

For now… let’s take a look at what we DO know is coming in just under two months.

Review: Disney Cruise Enchanted Garden Breakfast Buffet

With only a week until the Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship sets sail for its Maiden Voyage, I wanted to prep those of you who are sailing with some reviews!

One of the Disney Cruise Line Rotational Dining restaurants on board the Fantasy is Enchanted Garden, a lovely restaurant that “brings the outdoors in” with fun special effects!

I think that a favorite morning escape for many guests on the Fantasy will be this serene restaurant. Enchanted Garden is found on Deck 2, midship, and serves dinner daily. Check your personal navigator for the days on which a bountiful buffet is set out for breakfast and lunch!

Atmosphere

Enchanted Garden evokes visions of the gardens at Versailles. Garden landscapes, white lattice, blooming flowers, and a centerpiece fountain beckon guests to dine in this outdoor-like setting capped off with a brilliant, ever-changing sky.

My Three Favorite Disney World Counter-Service Breakfasts

Let’s admit it — most of us don’t have time to grab a long, leisurely breakfast when we’re in Disney World. Usually it’s up-and-at-’em, throw some clothes on, grab the kids, and get over to rope drop for the park of the day!

But sometimes I like to take a few minutes to grab a classic Disney counter-service breakfast, and when that happens, these are my go-to options! I’d love to hear your favorite counter-service breakfasts — share your top choices in the comments section below!

Tonga Toast

This is one case where you can get one of the very best menu items at a table-service restaurant…but fast! Disney’s Polynesian Resort’s Tonga Toast is an icon of Disney food — sweet bananas all wrapped up in thick french toast and covered in cinnamon and sugar!

It’s an amazing treat, and you can get it for cheap at the Polynesian’s Captain Cook’s Snack Company counter-service restaurant. Only available in the mornings, it’s a great way to start your day!

Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Roll

You’d think that you would be able to eat a cinnamon roll on the go, but not one of these! The monstrous breakfast rolls are truly out of this world, and anyone who knows me knows that I’ll always ask for the extra scoop of frosting on top!

News! Disneyland’s La Brea Bakery Renovations and New Menu

More fun expansion news out of Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District!!

La Brea Bakery Cafe, one of the original restaurants in Downtown Disney Anaheim, began an exciting refurbishment on January 3, 2012, with the temporary closure of the counter-service area.

The full-service section will remain open until mid-March, and the renovations will be officially unveiled in April. According to OC Register’s Around Disney, the renovation will include the addition of 900 sq. ft. and showcase a new exhibition bakery where guests can watch dough being rolled before heading to the new wood stove! Plus, an awning will be added to shade full-service, outdoor diners.

When La Brea re-opens, the counter-service side will have its own kitchen enabling guests to order their quick-service food at the counter and then take a seat where their order will be delivered.

Can you say “Comfort Food“?

One of the best places to get a hearty breakfast is at the famous River Belle Terrace. World famous for their signature Mickey Mouse pancakes, they also serve my favorite Eggs, Sausage, and Pancakes. You get 3 scrambled eggs, 3 sausages, and 3 pancakes, all done to perfection. Add a hot cup of coffee and you are set!

One thing that has always been consistent is the quality of the pancakes served here. The grill is set at the perfect temperature so no matter how long the cakes are on the griddle they are never, never overcooked.

News! A Sweet New Addition to Cinderella’s Royal Table

Cinderella’s Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World has added a new item to the menu: Breakfast Bread Pudding!

This looks a heck of a lot like dessert to me, but, then again, so did my stuffed french toast when I ate there!

According to the source, this includes bread pudding, Mascarpone, chocolate shavings, and fresh berries. Yum!!
