Just recently we got to hang out with Winnie the Pooh and Friends at Crystal Palace, plus Lilo, Stitch, and more are back at ‘Ohana too. But now, it’s time to celebrate because Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast has returned to Cape May Cafe, and we’re reviewing it all!

Character meals have slowly returned to “normal” in Disney World. Cape May Cafe just welcomed characters back, and The Crystal Palace features Winnie the Pooh and friends again at select meals. Now characters have also returned to breakfast at ‘Ohana but is this spot worth the HUGE price increase that came with those Disney friends? Let’s find out together.

But it can also mean a fun character dining experience, or just some delicious Starbucks or Joffrey’s coffee and a snack. Whatever you prefer, though, it can get expensive to eat breakfast in Disney World. So here are our best tips to save on that first meal of the day!

You might be able to use that time to grab merchandise before it sells out, hop on a few rides with shorter wait times, or go to the meet-and-greet of your dreams. Well, that depends! For some, a sit-down breakfast experience might be the thing they need to really start their day in the “right” way. Or it might be a way to fill up on generally cheaper entrees and then skip lunch — saving a few bucks. If you are set on riding every attraction without Disney’s skip-the-line service Genie+, then rope dropping a ride might be for you. But, for some, grabbing a pumpkin spice latte on Main Street, U.S.A. is a must-do first thing in the morning. If you are someone who wants a slow and peaceful morning in the park, you should consider booking a sit-down restaurant for breakfast to kick your day off. And now, there’s another reason to go this route, because one Disneyland restaurant is adding a breakfast option!
Here at DFB, we love food (of course we do — it’s in our name!). That’s why one of our favorite things to do at Disney World is trying new food.
BoardWalk Deli
Disney recently announced that the BoardWalk Bakery at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn was going to be replaced with the BoardWalk Deli. Now, in addition to pastries, this location will serve up things like breakfast sandwiches, subs, wraps, and more. We’ve watched the BoardWalk Bakery slowly be transformed into the BoardWalk Deli, and now the Deli has finally opened! Let’s go check it out.
Corn Dog Castle is a great spot to get classic AND unusual corn dogs.

Located in Disney California Adventure, we’ve tried regular menu offerings like the Original Hand-dipped Corn Dog or the Cheddar Cheese Stick, but we’ve also gotten out of our comfort zone to try limited eats like the Christmas Dinner Corn Dog, a GREEN Corn Dog (yes, really), and even a Pepper-Jack Cheese Stick. Now there’s a breakfast corn dog (??) and we HAD to give it a try!
