Hello from Pixar Pier!
There is a LOT going on right now over here in Disneyland — Pride Month has arrived (along with a SLEW of new snacks), the Soul of Jazz exhibit has officially opened, Blue Bayou Restaurant has reopened, and Magic Key Pass sales have been paused! Oh, and Fantasmic! and Tale of the Lion King are back! Whew — it’s a lot. But we’ve got ALL the updates from Disneyland, so let’s get started!
Things have been ramping up at Disneyland!
Cars Land
The Main Street Electrical Parade has returned, we’re finally able to watch the Disneyland Forever fireworks again and World of Color has returned, with Fantasmic! coming back soon! But even while there are LOADS of things going on at the resort, we’ve been keeping an eye out for other updates, too!
Feeding a family at a Disney theme park can be challenging.
Disney California Adventure
First, it can be tricky to find something to satisfy picky eaters. Second, feeding a family can get expensive at Disney parks. Third, how can you guarantee you’ll have enough food for everyone? Well, Disneyland thought about all that and is now offering a meal that could be exactly what you need to feed YOUR family.
This year’s Food & Wine Festival is in full swing at Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort!
2022 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival
Although the first thing that probably comes to mind when anyone mentions one of Disney’s Food & Wine Festivals is, well, the food, there are lots of other fun entertainment options available during these special events as well, including signings with talented Disney artists that you won’t want to miss!
Sometimes, for one reason or another, Disney needs to put a project on hold.

Not too long ago, Disney shared that two anticipated Disney attractions, the Mary Poppins attraction in EPCOT and the Quinjet attraction in Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus, were put “on hold.” This was the first update we had heard about these attractions in a WHILE, but what does it really mean when a new Disney project is on hold?!Â
Okay, so booze and ice cream should be a match made in heaven, right?

We’ve had a lot of delicious ice cream treats with alcohol, including boozy milkshakes, boozy Dole Whips, and ice cream martinis! We’ve enjoyed most of those treats…until now. 😬 We checked out some NEW boozy drinks at Disneyland that seemed promising, and one of them really delivered! But in the end, one of those drinks turned out to be very disappointing.
Disney has a lot of projects simultaneously in progress, but sometimes things don’t go as planned.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is in progress
Before the pandemic, there were many announcements about upcoming attractions, makeovers, and other new things coming to the parks. But, the pandemic has pushed back the timeline on a lot of projects, like TRON: Lightcycle Run, or cut them completely. There are also a lot of projects that we haven’t heard much about, so we didn’t know if they were still in the works or scrapped. But, we recently got a status update on 2 upcoming Disney projects.
We spent our day eating and drinking our way around the 2022 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival! There were TONS of new snacks this year that seriously impressed us, so if you’re planning a visit to Disneyland sometime soon, you’re in for a good time.
California Adventure Food & Wine Festival
This year’s festival runs from March 4th through April 26th and brings DELICIOUS eats and interesting drinks to Disneyland Resort. You KNOW we tried alllllll of that food; that means we got our snack on at 13 FOOD BOOTHS.
It’s not uncommon for Disney to CHANGE rides for a limited time!

Particularly during the holiday season, we’ve seen Disney World and Disneyland Resort rides get special overlays, like the Jingle Cruise or Haunted Mansion Holiday. But starting today, one Disney California Adventure ride got some changes for the Food & Wine Festival!
What’s better than a day spent in a Disney park enjoying delicious food? Well, pretty much nothing!

Today we’re at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival BEFORE its opening because a few booths are serving up festival dishes a little bit early. We’ve already visited the Golden Dreams Booth, but now it’s time to hit up Garlic Kissed…and the name already has us excited!
