And, although we’ve been giving you LOTS of Disney recipes to make at home, this next one might become your family’s new go-to dish!!
We have our sights set on the 2020 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. While the official dates and menus haven’t been announced yet, we’re already thinking of our dream food and beverage must-try list!
Unfortunately, we don’t know at this time if ANY of our favorites are returning this year. Since the festival dates and menus haven’t been announced yet, all we can do is cross our fingers, hope, and PRAY that these festival faves will return in 2020! So, let’s take a stroll down memory lane and look back on some of our most beloved Food and Wine Festival eats.
We’ve successfully made it through the FIRST DAY of the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
From now through November 23rd, the Festival will offer a variety of culinary events around Walt Disney World’s Epcot. Of course, the bites and sips from the Food Booths are a festival highlight. Not sure what items to sample? Here are our Best of the Fest recommendations!
If you’re planning a visit to this year’s Festival, then you’ll want to start putting together your MUST EAT list… and that’s where we come in! The DFB Team taste-tested every item at the Festival to show you the items you can’t miss!
Are you ready? Because it’s time to DIG in!
Let’s start with warm cheese at The Alps! This one is an AJ favorite!! You guys know that I lived in Switzerland for a year, and raclette (melty raclette cheese poured over bread, boiled potatoes, gherkins, and other goodies) as a staple.
And Disney’s actually done a great job with it here! The half-wheel of raclette is melted right in the booth, and shaved off beautifully onto the veggies and bread. Pungent and delicious, this one is a must-do for my cheese-fans out there.
is serving a Spanish-style Paella with Botifarra and Roasted Chicken with a little bit of heat! Flavorful and cooked to perfection!!
If you’re looking for a larger portion, this is a great buy.
For Islands of the Caribbean, Jerk-spiced Chicken with Roasted Sweet Plantain Salad and Mango Chutney Yogurt is a stand-out!
While this dish hasn’t wowed us in previous years, this time around the chicken is cooked on an outdoor grill! You WILL taste the difference. It was a DFB team favorite!
For a refreshing beverage, stop by Joffrey’s for a Citrus Sunshine in Canada. Opt for this drink over the Aulani Sunrise at Hawai’i.
At the Odyssey cart by Joffrey’s, we like the Chai-quila.
At Australia, the Roasted Lamb Chop had great flavors. It’s a twist on the lamb chops of the past at this booth and we loved the update.
For a not-too-sweet dessert, one member of the DFB team really enjoyed the lightness of this option.
The Spicy Hummus Fries at Morocco were delicious, as always, even with the sauce update — we needed more sauce, though!
The flatbread (it was a taco) had a really good kick to it!
Let’s look at two returning favorites. First, The Cheese Studio is worth a visit for the Maple Bourbon Boursin Cheesecake.
This creamy, decadent treat is made better-than-your-usual-cheesecake (and that’s saying something!!) thanks to that hint of bourbon in the caramel sauce.
BUT, the Sparkling Blueberry Wine by Florida Orange Groves Winery wowed us again! [Read more…]
The 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival kicks off August 29th and runs for a record 87 days until November 23. This year’s Festival features more than 35 Marketplace Booths (food booths) which means there’s something for everyone throughout World Showplace and Future World!
Of course, with all of those food booths you might be wondering “Where do I start planning what I want to eat?” Here at DFB we have two great resources to help you plan: first, be sure to check out ALL the menus for this year’s Festival and second get your copy of the DFB Guide to the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!

The 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival runs from August 30-November 12, 2018, and we’re already thinking about what we want to eat this year!
Each year certain food booths at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival wow us with unique dishes, and today we’re going to check out seven dishes that we hope return to this year’s Festival! The menus for 2018 haven’t been released yet, but a few of these dishes have been on the menu for a couple of seasons so there is hope for a return!
Let’s check them out! [Read more…]

Because the 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is ON!!
And YOU’VE got until November 13th this year to try everything you absolutely MUST EAT at this year’s Festival. So that’s why I’m here! To show you 2017’s CAN’T MISS ITEMS so you don’t miss ANY of the BEST OF THE FEST!
Now let’s waste no more time and dive right in to 2017’s TOP PICKS!
It’s no secret that we have a fondness for cheese and handwiches around here. Kudos to the Craft Beer booth for surprising us with this new (old) addition — the Zesty Cheeseburger and Cheddar Cheese Macaroni Handwich.
This one is OG Disney. The handwich (a lot like this, but not really) was the original hand-held sandwich. (What’s that? All sandwiches are hand-held, you say? What do YOU know?!?!?) And it was also a cult favorite for Disney foodies before Disney foodies were even a thing. (You know who you are.) [Read more…]

I’m so excited that the Epcot Food and Wine Festival is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for August 31-November 13, when we celebrate 75 incredible days of food, wine, and more!
The festival begins earlier than ever before this year, so we’re busy preparing and planning to make the most of our time there. And I suggest you do the same!
While taking in Low Cost Seminars and Demonstrations or splurging on a Special Event or two is super fun, my favorite festival pastime is still strolling along the World Showcase Promenade and taking in both new and familiar eats and drinks at the festival Marketplace Booths.
While we await news of just exactly what that means, and to see what if any new booths are announced, today we’re sharing the five booths you absolutely cannot miss at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival this year!
There’s always something fun and new to look forward to each year. And this year will be no exception. Disney promises 35 booths to celebrate 35 years of Epcot awesomeness. So far, we’re getting a look at two newly returning booths that promise to offer some delicious and exotic fare.
, last seen on the World Showcase Promenade in 2010, returns to the festival this year. Since Spain has a rich culture of beautifully prepared regional foods, we look forward to seeing this menu!
So far, we’ve confirmed a new Spain menu item, Charcuterie in a Cone. What a cool way to have your snack and stroll with it too. 😀 I’m pretty sure this plus a glass of Spanish wine will be very nice on a festival evening.
In addition, there’s a very real chance that we’ll see variations on dishes that have been featured here before. Look for possibilities such as Seared Albacore Tuna with Romesco Sauce, Snapper Escabeche, Spanish Almond Cake, or Crema Catalana, along with some interesting Spanish wines and beer.
Happy weekend! We hope you’re having a relaxing weekend and that you’re ready to check out the latest Disney food news in our round-up!
Disneyland’s Festival of Holidays opened this weekend, featuring 14 food booths with themed menus! We can’t wait to dig in ourselves next week — stay tuned for full coverage.
And speaking of festivals, the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival ends this week, but you still have a few days to check it out. If you find yourself longing for dishes from the Food and Wine Festival, you’ll want to check out this recipe for Berbere Beef Tenderloin Tips from the Africa Booth!
And once the Food and Wine Festival is over it’s time to start thinking about Holidays Around the World at Epcot and the new food booths coming for this year!
We have a lot to share with you this week, so let’s jump right in…
