But Disney takes safety super seriously. There are Five Keys that Cast Members use as a guide while they are on the clock, and the most important Key is Safety. Disney even tells their Cast Members that “Safety Begins with Me.” Disney World has both spoken and even some unspoken rules to make sure everyone is safe and enjoys their vacation.
The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is right around the corner!
It’s almost time!
The festival will run from March 5th until June 2nd, and there is so much to see and do. EPCOT has already started transforming for the festival, as topiaries, flowers, and the Butterfly Garden have already started to pop up! Plus, this festival will be full of exclusive merchandise, entertainment, and, of course, our favorite part: food!
It is no secret that Cast Members are part of the reason why Disney World is known as The Most Magical Place on Earth!

There are so many different roles that a Cast Member could receive, and one of them is working on the resort side. Disney World has over 25 resorts, which means there are a ton of hotel Cast Members to help assist you throughout your stay. Although Cast Members are always happy to help, hotel Cast Members wish they could tell you these five things, but they won’t because they are too nice.

Cast Members are the MAGIC!
You may have noticed some Cast Members have gold pins on their name tags. These pins are service pins and indicate how long a Cast Member has worked for the Walt Disney Company. After one year, a Cast Member can earn their one-year pin, followed by their five-year pin, and so on every five years. Once a Cast Member reaches 10 years with the company, they are invited to a special party that only happens once a year.

Well, today, I want to talk about a very specific type of Cast Member: the Character Attendant. These people have a FUN job, but what’s it really like to work so closely with THE Mickey Mouse? When you meet a character in Disney World, there will ALWAYS be a Character Attendant nearby. A Character Attendant is not the same thing as the character itself; the Cast Members wearing the blue polo shirts are Character Attendants (a.k.a. “blueberries“). These Cast Members are there to help! Need a pen for autographs? Need someone to translate Mickey’s “Happy Birthday” message? That’s the job of a Character Attendant! As a former Character Attendant, I know what it’s like to monitor the line, keep an eye on character interactions, take photos, and keep an eye on the time…all at the same time. Now that I’m a Regular Person and am no longer a Cast Member, I’m spilling some secrets! Ever wondered what a Character Attendant WISHES they could say?
A NEW LAND inspired by the Tropical Americas is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park in 2027. Say goodbye to Dinoland U.S.A. and hello to Pueblo Esperanza!

We’re still waiting on a few key details, like the opening date, but we do know that Dinoland (the land that Pueblo Esperanza will replace) will close in phases.
