It may only be March, but it’s never too early to start planning your fall trip to Disney World!
You can start making plans for your vacation pretty early, booking hotel reservations and deciding which rides and attractions you want to prioritize. We’re expecting Disney to make some announcements about its Halloween festivities pretty soon, but we’ve already found a SECRET HINT about a popular parade that will be returning this spooky season, and we think you’ll be super excited to hear it! Disney World Cast members have a mystery language they use when they need to notify others of certain things that may happen in the parks.
Now, we’ve already told you about the gross Code V, and the even grosser, Code H. Code A isn’t much better (and we’re still shocked this happens). Then there’s the Code 101. Now THAT code is what Cast Members use when a ride closes. So yeah, most of these codes are all bad news. However, we’re going to tell you about a code that means good news, Code 102.
What we love about Disney World is the attention to detail.
We see it on the rides, in the little details just walking through the parks, with the characters, and more. Even the Cast Member costumes are themed to the area or ride Cast Members are working (like, is any outfit more iconic than the Haunted Mansion Cast Member costumes?). Well, now, Cast Members who work in Magic Kingdom are getting a new look!
We have some amazing team members on the DFB crew, and some of them used to work at Disney World!
Specifically, a few of our coworkers worked in Magic Kingdom, but for some of them, it’s been a few years. We asked all our former Cast Members if they could tell us some juicy secrets they learned as Magic Kingdom Cast Members, and BOY did they deliver! The following secrets are top-notch, so grab your popcorn and get ready for the tea!
We’ll say it once and we’ll say it again: Cast Members are what makes Disney World SO magical.
Cast Members are always going above and beyond to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on our day. They’re always so sweet in sharing their personal stories. That’s why we are always telling you to use that Cast Compliment feature on the My Disney Experience app because we want to give back to them after they’ve given so much to us. Well, one Cast Member has received so much feedback from you that he’s been recognized by Disney!
Disney World sees MILLIONS of visitors every year.
So you can imagine that dealing with SO many people on a daily basis can be a challenge for Cast Members. When you visit Disney World, too, there are specific rules that you need to follow (although there are some unwritten rules, too). Some rules, though, get broken so often that Cast Members are literally BEGGING you not to break them. So we’re going to outline one of the most COMMON offenses (and what to do INSTEAD).
Listen, we’ve seen plenty of trends come and go in Disney World.
From the rose gold phase to the days when Starbucks tumblers were literally being FOUGHT over in The Emporium, Disney has often been keen to hop on the latest trends. They even change rides and attractions to update them with modern times! But there’s one trend happening in Disney World — and Magic Kingdom in particular — that we’ve got to point out.
Perhaps the BEST thing about going to Disney World is the little surprise moments that Disney Cast Members make!
Over the decades that we’ve been visiting the parks, we’ve seen many of these. From the elusive clap box to random pop-up trivia games to limbo and hula hooping in the streets. Cast Members are constantly finding ways to plus up our day just a little bit at a time! And one of our favorite examples of this is the incredible water art from the custodial staff.
We can’t praise Disney Cast Members enough on this site.
Cast Members go above and beyond to make magic for us every day in Disney World. They often share their unique stories and their imaginative creations with us, making our trips even MORE magical. Well, if you love Cast Members as much as we do, February 25th marks the beginning of a special day that’s ALL about appreciating our favorite people at Disney World!
