Disney’s Animal Kingdom

In 2023, we saw some new changes that could possibly be coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While we know the land will be changing, we don’t know what will take its place yet. We have gotten to see some concept art, hear what the plans would be, and have been left on our own to theorize about what could possibly be happening at the park. But based on a new permit filed, it appears things could be happening sooner than we thought or knew!

DATE ANNOUNCED for Huge Hollywood Studios Ride Change in Disney World

It’s almost time to head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for some CHANGES!

The AT-AT was misting the guests down below!

That’s right! We are going to be seeing some updates to a ride in a land far far away. If you’re familiar with Star Tours — The Adventures Continue, you know that no two rides are ever the same (okay, that’s a slight exaggeration, but still.) That is something we LOVE about the ride, but now we have something even BETTER to look forward to when we hop on this ride in the future. Disney World has been going through some major changes recently.

The EPCOT transformation is complete (well, mostly because we’re still waiting for the completion of CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza). A new ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, is coming to Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom is getting an expansion. Animal Kingdom’s DinoLand U.S.A. is getting a re-theme. Disney World hotels are ALSO changing, though, and we’re going to give you the rundown of what’s going on.

They all lived happily… ever… after.

We’ve seen a lot of changes in Disney’s nighttime spectaculars since the COVID closures happened in 2020. We’ve seen Enchantment, Harmonious, the return of Fantasmic!, and even EPCOT Forever come and go since the parks reopened. In April 2023, Disney made the decision to bring back a fan favorite — Happily Ever After. This is a year of HUGE changes for Disney World!

2023 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

Park pass reservations are gone for most Disney World visitors. All-day park hopping is back. The Disney Dining Plan has returned. Even more changes are coming later in the year: Country Bear Jamboree in Magic Kingdom will reopen with a brand NEW show this summer, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open this summer, too. Things are also changing with EPCOT’s festivals, and we think this year’s Food & Wine Festival is going to be a LOT different.

Does Disney Have ANY Tricks Up Its Sleeve To Beat Universal in 2025?

So…Universal has a lot coming in 2025.

And by a lot, we mean a whole new theme park complete with 5 lands and over 50 new experiences. We’ve just started to get more information on Epic Universe and the specifics around what it will introduce to Orlando, but we know it’s not set to open until 2025. We’re Already Seeing Serious Changes For EPCOT Festivals in 2024

This might just be the year of HUGE changes for Disney World.

In January alone, we saw the end of park pass reservations for most theme park visitors, the return of all-day park hopping, AND the return of the Disney Dining Plan. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open in Magic Kingdom in 2024. PLUS Country Bear Jamboree will be reopening with a brand NEW show in the summer. We’re also starting to see a lot of huge changes for EPCOT’s festivals.
