About four years later, the time has finally come for 1900 Park Fare to reopen!

This character buffet located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort closed in 2020 due to the pandemic and did not reopen with the rest of Disney World. Now, as of April 10th, it is finally open again. We’re celebrating the return of this charming restaurant and its famous strawberry soup. Come along with us as we find out which characters you get to dine with now that 1900 Park Fare is officially open!
Today, March 12th, is an exciting day in Disney World, specifically at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is home to some shining stars in terms of places to eat in Disney World. You can get a world-class meal at Victoria & Albert’s, celebrate a special event at Citricos, go out for date night at Narcoossee’s, or grab and go from Gasparilla Island Grill. But one very special dining location has yet to re-open since its closure in 2020 — 1900 Park Fare. Now that’s soon to change! The character restaurant is set to re-open on April 10th, and Disney just shared NEW details!
If meeting characters in Disney World is a priority for your family, we highly recommend you consider booking at least one character dining experience. The main benefit of character dining is pretty significant: you don’t have to wait in long lines to meet multiple characters.Â

And if you want to meet the Big Cheese — Mickey Mouse himself — during your meal, you have a few great options both in the parks and at the resorts. He even has a different outfit at each of the character dining restaurants, so he’ll always have a unique look no matter which restaurant you pick! But how do you choose WHICH character meal to book? Winnie the Pooh Topiaries

What we DO mean is the Crystal Palace! If you’re unfamiliar, the Crystal Palace is a character dining restaurant in Magic Kingdom where you can dine with Winnie the Pooh and his friends during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s a classic character dining experience, and one that Winnie the Pooh fans will love! But is the high price of the meal ($55/ adult at lunch or dinner) worth it? is about as classic a Walt Disney World character buffet as they come.
Located on the fourth floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort and in the shadows of arriving and departing Monorail trains, Chef Mickey’s is a character buffet featuring the Fab Five — Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald — in their finest chef attire.
The open, raucous space is dominated by sparse design and seemingly endless food choices, making it a great place for many families. No need to shush the kids when they devolve into squeals of delight with Minnie coming around the corner. No worries about finding something for everyone to eat. Just grab a plate, fill up, and get some character love.
But the food quality here hasn’t been great in the past, and while it’s certainly passable, for THAT price you expect something that’s good, at least, not something that’s mediocre. Still, Chef Mickey’s draws a crowd — you’ll definitely want to snag an Advance Dining Reservation if you want to eat here — and it’s all about that Fab Five meet and greet life.
