Through thorough research, reading article after article, and knowing a thing or two about Disney Parks, we would LIKE to think that we have a crystal ball and can see into the future.

We know, however, that is NOT the case! 🙂 Disney always loves to surprise us and, after all, the only constant at Disney is change! So let’s take a look at the things we were WAY wrong about when it comes to Disney World’s reopening.
When the parks re-open on July 11th and July 15th, Disney World will be making some changes to how dining, hotels, attractions, and more operate.

And, Disney dropped some MAJOR news this past weekend about how the resorts will be operating when they open back up again soon.
When Disney World reopens, there’s one restaurant that will give guests their character fix!

Select Disney World Resort hotels will begin reopening on June 22nd. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will be the first parks to welcome back guests on July 11th, followed by Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15th. As things initially reopen, there will be a number of changes implemented for the safety of guests and Cast Members.

Be Our Guest Restaurant
Select Disney Resort hotels will begin to reopen starting June 22nd, and Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will welcome back guests on July 11th, with Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios following on July 11th. In order to ensure the safety of guests, a number of new health measures will be implemented upon reopening, including some NEW info about dining.
Disney World has been rolling out new information about their parks’ reopening — set to begin on July 11th.

In preparation for the reopening, Disney has canceled all existing dining reservations and dining plans until a new reservation system is unveiled. But Disney just offered clarity on one specific dining experience we have been wondering about: character dining.
If meeting characters in Disney World is a priority for your family, we highly recommend you consider booking at least one character dining experience. The main benefit of character dining is pretty significant: you don’t have to wait in long lines to meet multiple characters.Â

And if you want to meet the Big Cheese — Mickey Mouse himself — during your meal, you have a few great options both in the parks and at the resorts. He even has a different outfit at each of the character dining restaurants, so he’ll always have a unique look no matter which restaurant you pick! But how do you choose WHICH character meal to book? Let’s run through them here and see which meals are 100% worth it and which are totally skippable.
As restrictions are slowly being lifted across the world, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will begin serving character meals again at one of its locations.

This news comes several weeks after character dining resumed at Shanghai Disneyland, one of the first Disney theme parks to close.

If you’re unfamiliar, the Crystal Palace is a character dining restaurant in Magic Kingdom where you can dine with Winnie the Pooh and his friends during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s a classic character dining experience, and one that Winnie the Pooh fans will love! But is the high price of the meal ($55/ adult at lunch or dinner) worth it? Hooray for Hollywood! We just LOVE this park!

There is SO much to do — from joining up with Poe and Rey at Rise of the Resistance to climbing aboard Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, there is quite a full day of fun to be had here. And since you’re getting there early to get a Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group, you’ll need to fuel up!
A few Quick Service spots have recently added breakfast to their menu — like ABC Commissary or the Milk Stand in Galaxy’s Edge. But sometimes, we find ourselves craving more than just a bite on the go, and recently decided to dine at Hollywood and Vine!
Last night, it was announced that the Walt Disney World Resort hotels will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2020 to take precautionary measures in response to the Coronavirus.

While the Resort hotels remain open, alterations are being made to Resort services such as transportation and store and dining operations in Disney Springs. Resort restaurants will be open to guests, including Character Meals. However, guests will want to be aware that there may be modifications to character dining experiences this week. (And also note that if you are relying on Disney transportation to get to a restaurant that is located at a different Resort than where you are staying, that all Disney transportation will be suspended starting the morning of Wednesday, March 18, 2020.)
