The last month of 2021 was filled with holiday cheer and CROWDS, just like we expected. But, we didn’t see EVERYTHING coming last month. Here are the three most unexpected things that happened in Disney World in December!

Cinderella Castle got a fancy new look for Disney World’s 50th anniversary in Magic Kingdom, and Disney has released lots of new merchandise in her honor!
We’ve seen the Cinderella Castle spirit jersey as well as many other pieces of new 50th merchandise inspired by the castle, and if you’re a Disney Dooney & Bourke fan, you might have also seen a few new designs released for the 50th anniversary. Now Disney World just released what might be the most epic Disney Dooney & Bourke purse ever, so check it out!

Hey there, DFB friends! We’re back with more unexpected Disney World news from the week, and this week was a bit UNUSUAL to say the least.
You may have heard that there was a FIRE at Cinderella Castle (everyone is fine, no one was hurt!) and surprisingly, that’s not the only big news of the week! Take a look at everything else unexpected that happened there.
UPDATE: As of the next day, December 15th, Magic Kingdom is back to normal. The small fire was quickly and safely extinguished, and now the Cinderella Castle and surrounding area are open again for guests to visit. Cinderella’s Royal Table (which was evacuated during the emergency) is also open again now.
Things don’t always go according to plans in Disney World!
Whether it’s an unexpected ride evacuation, technical issues with the My Disney Experience app, or even a parade float catching on fire, you never quite know what can happen when you’re visiting. And, today there were reports that a popular spot in Magic Kingdom caught fire.
We’ve noticed crowds picking up in Disney World lately as people head to the parks for the holiday season.
Among the hundreds of guests inside the parks, you might even spot some familiar faces! We’ve seen celebrities in Disney World, whether they’re just visiting with friends and family or there to film a commercial or special. Recently, we saw a few celebs over in EPCOT for some filming.
