One of Magic Kingdom’s attractions is suddenly closed down and we have the details for you about when it will be reopening.Â
We’ve seen a LOT of changes happening in Disney Springs over the past few years.
First, we got a brand new restaurant, Summer House on the Lake, and we’re still revisiting the Cookie Bar there. We also feel like the new eet by Maneet Chauhan restaurant is COMPLETELY UNDERRATED (seriously, go there). We’ve also seen several shops close, while new shops have opened. Well, we recently did a quick walkthrough through Disney Springs and noticed another shop seems to have closed its doors.
Hurricane Helene is expected to make landfall in Florida later this evening, and we’ve been following updates as the storm progresses.
As the Hurricane continues to grow and get closer, Disney World recently announced the closure of Typhoon Lagoon on Thursday (today), as well as the cancellation of tonight’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It seems Universal Orlando is following suit and has also announced a cancellation and closure of its own ahead of the hurricane making landfall.
Well, let’s just say that a WHOLE lot of EVERYTHING is going on in Magic Kingdom right now.
A new ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, just opened. Country Bear Jamboree just reopened with a brand new show. Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America are about to get replaced with a new Cars land. A new Villains land will be coming soon behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. A new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern is on the way! Whew! Like we said, it’s a lot! Well, something else is happening in Magic Kingdom soon, too: a classic attraction will be temporarily closing.
An iconic Disney World attraction is closing soon in Magic Kingdom!
Don’t worry though, it will only be for a few months. And, now we officially have the reopening date.
In case you missed it, we are LIVE at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
This event, which runs through the weekend, brings a ton of fun Disney experiences to fans, as well as panels, where we expect Disney to make some big announcements about upcoming movies, parks experiences, rides, and more. The doors have just officially opened for the event, but as soon as we were inside, we were already turned away from one line at one particular booth.
Are you at that point where basically nothing shocks you anymore? (I know we are!)
So, about that, here we were minding our business and having a great time at Magic Kingdom when we had the unexpected happen. We’re talking about a specific ride revelation that had us shook. Let’s talk about it!
Are you planning a trip to Disney World? Do you have Magic Kingdom on the brain? Have you been looking at Disney World restaurants and making those advance dining reservations? Good! That means you’re a SMART Disney planner. And you’ve come to the right place.
We’re here to help you plan ahead so that you won’t be caught off guard by unexpected closures or disappointing updates. There’s nothing worse than visiting your favorite ride only to see it boarded up and under construction. We don’t want that! Now, come along with us as we take a look at all the upcoming ride closures in Disney World this August.Â
Things change so much at Disney World that it’s hard to keep up with everything.
In Magic Kingdom, we just recently saw the opening of a brand new ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. We’re also gearing up to see what Disney has planned for the big Magic Kingdom expansion. Sometimes, though, things close in Disney World, and we’ve got a big update about some entertainment at Magic Kingdom that will be temporarily suspended.
Disney World is always busy building new things and updating even more.
For example, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently reopened after a lengthy refurbishment with a few changes. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a brand NEW ride, just opened in Magic Kingdom. It seems like there’s almost ALWAYS some kind of construction going on in EPCOT. This is why we wanted to remind you about a Disney World restaurant closure that will happen soon.
