We’ve seen a number of permanent closures this year in Disney World. but there are also some locations that were allegedly temporarily closed — and still haven’t reopened .

Some of these indefinite restaurant closures date back several years, and that leaves us wondering if these locations will ever re-open.
2023 appears to be something of a year of closures at Disney World. On January 22nd Splash Mountain ferried its last guests, and we said goodbye to Magic Kingdom nighttime spectacular Disney Enchantment, which ended on April 2nd.Â

Not all of the closures are permanent, though. There are a fair amount of refurbishments happening across the resort as well. However, all of these changes aren’t limited to just attractions and shows.
Hurricane (now Tropical Storm) Ian has been impacting various places within Florida, including Disney World.

Disney World closed its theme parks on September 28th and 29th, various special events were canceled, some hotels were closed, and even the airport has adjusted its operations due to the storm. We’ve been BUSY trying all the new eats at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival. But of course, we’re still keeping ya posted with other restaurant changes, too! And it looks like another food spot in the park may be closed for a while.
On October 20th, the state of California released its reopening guidelines.Â

Although Disneyland has not released a reopening date yet, we can’t help but wonder what the west coast parks will look like when they do reopen. Based on the guidelines, this is what we expect Disneyland’s reopening to look like for guests!
If you’ve been following along, you know that the reopening of Walt Disney World Resort is taking place in phases. And even though all four Walt Disney World theme parks started to welcome guests again in July, that does not mean that every attraction, experience, eatery, and store in the parks reopened immediately.
