Four ships are already in the works, and then at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney announced that four MORE are coming in the future — that means Disney will have a fleet of 13 ships! Right now, one of the new ships that we’re looking forward to is the Disney Adventure, which will set sail in 2025 and be based in Singapore. And today, Disney just dropped more information about the boat’s offerings!

At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney announced that a Monsters, Inc. Land will be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Disney announced that the new land would include Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster that will have you zooming through the factory via a door. Other than that, Disney didn’t reveal too many other details about this new land, but we did notice something in the concept art that gives a HUGE hint about a restaurant coming to the land!

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event just wrapped up, and we got a LOT of news over the weekend. Disney shared details about upcoming movies, major theme park projects, and plans for the future of Disney Cruise Line. We also got to see 14 new Disney Legends inducted! We’re gearing up for one of the BIGGEST theme park events in Orlando…the opening of a NEW park!

Universal Orlando is set to open Universal Epic Universe in 2025 and we can’t wait to be there! In Magic Kingdom, Tron Lightcycle / Run has been added to Tomorrowland, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has been added to Frontierland. Recently, EPCOT just completed its multi-year transformation with the opening of CommuniCore Hall and Plaza. Even more, change is coming to Disney World, as projects for the Dinoland U.S.A. re-theme in Animal Kingdom and Beyond Big Thunder Mountain in Magic Kingdom are currently in the works.

We’ve been seeing a lot of changes happening around Disney World in the past few years, and that won’t be changing anytime soon. In late 2023, Disney announced a TON of changes that will be coming to Disney Parks around the world. There has been a lot of talk about the reimagining of Dinoland, USA, as well as an expansion at Magic Kingdom to name a few of the changes we should be expecting to see within the coming years. Plans are in the works for expansions at the Disneyland Resort, and that could potentially include a new Avatar-themed land!

During the initial reveal, Iger shared, “We have one Avatar-based land, Pandora, in Florida. We’re going to put a second one in California.” A land similar to what was created in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park in Disney World could make its way to California — and we’ve officially got our first idea of what it could look like!
