With Muppets Courtyard making way for the brand-new Monsters, Inc. Land in Hollywood Studios, we’ve been curious about what’s going to happen to the old Muppet*Vision 3D theater. And now, a tiny little detail in Disney’s concept art has us thinking that we’ve got a hint as to what show could be taking it over!

Will Villains Land Be Family-Friendly in Disney World? Here’s What We Know

Disney has finally announced that an entirely new land will be arriving in the unused land behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom, and we can’t wait.

The Barnstormer, Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel, “it’s a small world,” and Dumbo are just a few that come to our minds immediately, but that’s one of the wonderful things about the park — it truly is for adults and kids alike! What makes Dumbo extra special is the indoor play place kids can run around in to burn off some excess energy, but we’re here to remind you that the play area will be CLOSED for refurbishment very soon!

With only one piece of concept art so far, fans are concerned that some of the elements might not come to life.

Is This a Sign That Disney Imagineers Are Working on the NEW Spaceship Earth Lounge Soon?

Disney World has a lot of projects in the works right now. We’ve already seen permits filed for construction on the Cars expansion for Magic Kingdom, as well as the new Villains Land.

We’ve also seen permits related to the new Villains show coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as permits to help transform DinoLand, U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom into Pueblo Esperanza. Now, we’ve spotted two NEW permits, including one for EPCOT, presumably for the new Spaceship Earth Lounge, as well as for Ye Olde Christmas Tree Shoppe in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square. Both permits are for signage.

Three out of Disney World’s four parks are getting massive changes. We’ve got new lands coming to Magic Kingdom (PLUS a Frontierland expansion), Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. A new version of Test Track will be opening in EPCOT. A new nighttime parade will be coming to Magic Kingdom. Of course, with all this change, a lot of things will close this year. So there are a lot of things you’ll do in Disney World in 2025 for the last time.

NEWS: Permit APPROVED for Tropical Americas-Themed Land at Animal Kingdom

The new land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park has now cleared a major regulatory hurdle!

In 2023, Disney announced that the DinoLand, U.S.A. area of Animal Kingdom would be transformed into a new land themed to the Tropical Americas. Some DinoLand, U.S.A. closures have already begun, and a groundbreaking ceremony for the new land — officially named Pueblo Esperanza — took place earlier this year. And now, Pueblo Esperanza has cleared an important regulatory hurdle in development!

NEW Permit Filed for Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney filed a permit for work to be done at the Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which currently houses It’s Tough to Be a Bug.

The permit was filed on February 3rd, 2025, and is for work to be done by a contractor called Westbrook Service Corporation.
