Is there anything more exciting than a new dining spot opening in Disney World?
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
We don’t think so! We’ve already experienced a few openings recently, including Summer House on the Lake and Eet by Maneet Chauhan in Disney Springs. We recently noticed a new stand being built in Hollywood Studios, and now we’ve discovered that this will be a brand NEW snack stand!
Disney World has announced quite a few projects in recent years!
Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom
Some of those projects are currently underway (like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure), while we’re still waiting on updates for others (we’re looking at you, PLAY! Pavilion). And in Magic Kingdom, there’s one project that was announced…but we’re still waiting to hear more! Honestly, this one has us intrigued.
Disney is wasting no time getting to work on its latest project!
Country Bear Jamboree
Country Bear Jamboree is changing in a huge way in Magic Kingdom — Disney Imagineers are updating the show with “an all-new act.” The bears are going to be singing Disney songs in NEW styles, like pop country, rockabilly, and bluegrass! The attraction officially closed its doors on January 27th, and now we’ve got our first signs that work is taking place.
Are you ready for 2024? We know we are…because NEW things are coming to the Disney World hotels!
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is getting a new Disney Vacation Club tower, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is getting some serious updates, and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is getting The Cake Bake Shop restaurant. But that’s not all that’s coming to the BoardWalk — and we’re here to report on another change!

The rooms are getting complete makeovers, but there are also some new dining locations under construction with The Cake Bake Shop and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs coming soon. However, even though several new things are coming soon…this week we had to say goodbye to one restaurant!
Disney World isn’t the only park undergoing quite the transformation right now.
Disneyland Resort
Over in Disneyland, Mickey’s ToonTown has been refreshed, the Adventureland Treehouse is once again welcoming guests, and later this year we’ll get to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. But, it looks like this isn’t the only change Disneyland will be undergoing this year according to recently filed permits!

The EPCOT transformation is nearly complete, several hotels are getting big makeovers, and the old Splash Mountain is getting converted into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom. Outside of the ride being closed, that last one hasn’t affected park traffic too much…until now!
We’ve been watching the progress on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for nearly a year now in Disney World.

Splash Mountain closed in 2023 to make way for the new Princess and the Frog-themed log flume ride, and construction has been moving along quickly. We’ve seen sneak peeks at what the ride will look like, from concept art to scale models, but now we’ve got one more hint about what we’ll find inside!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
That’s right — currently, Disney is renovating the old Splash Mountain ride into a new Princess and the Frog-themed attraction called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The makeover is taking place on both the east and west coasts, but in Magic Kingdom, it’s causing some changes recently!
We don’t know about you, but we are SO excited about the new ride coming to Magic Kingdom.

Yep, we’re talking about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which will be a brand-new ride built over the bones of the old Splash Mountain attraction in both Disney World and Disneyland.
