Your Highway in the Sky…
… has received a tribute via CUPCAKE at Contempo Cafe in Disney’s Contemporary Resort! Check out the Monorail Cupcake!
Hello, there! We’re back with another DFB Video to start off your week, and we’re talking about one of my very favorite topics: PEANUT BUTTER!!
If you have a passion for peanut butter like I do, then you definitely don’t want to miss out on the 5 snacks we’re sharing with you in our latest DFB YouTube video! We’ve got snacks in the parks as well as the Resorts, because — thankfully — there’s no shortage of peanut-buttery goodness when you’re in Disney World. From sundaes, to brownies, to cookie sandwiches, to pie… well, you may want to grab a glass of milk, because there is a LOT of peanut butter coming your way once you hit play on our next video! If you’ve been keeping up with the DFB, or if you’ve been anywhere near Disney World recently, then you are well aware that Rose Gold is taking over the entire place. Like most things around here, “it was all started by a mouse.” Minnie Mouse, in this case!
Always one to be on top of the trends, her Rose Gold Minnie Ears have been the hottest item that can’t even be found in the merchandise shops anymore due to their immense popularity!
And now, treats galore in the Instagram-worthy hue are likewise springing up all over! Let’s take a ‘round the World tour so you can find your own Rose Gold Cupcake… or Rose Gold Margarita (?!?) in Disney World. Yep, read on…
DFB itself broke the news on the nutella-with-vanilla Rose Gold Ears Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, and you can check out our review here!

Editor’s Note: Contempo Cafe has been removed from Disney’s system as a mobile order option. That said, since they went to the trouble to load all of the code into their system, we’re guessing it will be an option soon. Stay tuned.
Mobile Order — a process available via the My Disney Experience app, which gives guests the chance to bypass the register lines in participating restaurants by ordering and paying for their food in advance, has been available in select Counter Service spots since May 2017. The service has been limited, however, to locations in all four parks and Disney Springs.
But this weekend, the service made its debut in a Disney World Resort: The Contemporary Resort’s Contempo Cafe!

Aaaaand I’m back at Contempo Café!
No surprise, really. After all, this Counter Service spot in Disney’s Contemporary Resort is easy enough for anyone to get to, regardless of whether or not you are staying at any of the Resorts on the Monorail Loop. Because I’m thinking it’s a pretty safe bet that your Disney World vacation plans include a trip to the Magic Kingdom. And the Contemporary boasts not only easy access via Monorail; it’s also the only Resort you can walk to directly from Magic Kingdom!
Even more, though, I love to stop here due to Contempo Café’s history of serving better-than-you’d-expect counter service grub, from surprisingly memorable entrees to some seriously stellar desserts.
So stroll or Monorail on in with me to check out what’s new (and which of my favorite entrees has remained, thankfully, nearly unchanged) at the Contempo Café!
Contempo Cafe is located in the Grand Canyon Concourse adjacent to Chef Mickey’s. Basically, there’s no way you can go hungry in this zone! Contempo Cafe definitely has that we’re-trying-to-be-contemporary vibe that we know and love of the Resort, with lots of linear design and brushed nickel finishes.
It’s bright, open and, well… pretty loud most of the time. Aside from the Monorail zooming through regularly (hooray!), you get chatter from both open-air restaurants and the general hullabaloo of a busy resort. I find it to be festive, but if you’re craving some quiet, this may not be your spot. [Read more…]

There are so many amazing snacks to enjoy within the parks of Walt Disney World! We can all rattle them off — school bread in Epcot, killer mac and cheese in Animal Kingdom, cupcakes everywhere — and so on, and so on.
But what happens if you want to get some crazy good Disney treats — but you don’t have a park ticket? Maybe you’ve gotten to town late, and you don’t want to burn a park day. Or maybe you’re between renewal dates for your pass. Or maybe you’re just wondering about some great treats you haven’t tried yet.
We’re here to help! Because some of our all-time, must-have, super-crave-worthy treats can be found outside of the parks. How amazing is that? And if you love the great suggestions we’re sharing here, be sure to check out the 2019 DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining for even more great snacking tips!
Who doesn’t love Dole Whip? That’s right. Nobody. So we start with the Quintessential Disney Treat — and tell you where to get it outside of Magic Kingdom (and the other parks at which it’s lately started to appear).
Of course, one of your options is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. [Read more…]
Greetings from the Grand Floridian Resort!
Easter is always an especially festive time here, thanks to the tradition of the chocolate Easter Egg Display, presented by the Grand Floridian Bakery Team. [Read more…]

It’s the week we’re all seeing GREEN… for St. Patrick’s Day! And if you’re in Disney World on March 17th (and even before), there are plenty of ways to celebrate the love of all things Irish.
Let’s start at Magic Kingdom, where the current Specialty Hot Dog at Casey’s Corner (available throughout the rest of March) is topped with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and wholegrain mustard. [Read more…]

Whew!
It sure has been a news-y few weeks for Disney World! From the debut of the long-awaited Rivers of Light show in Animal Kingdom, to the announcement of a brand new fireworks spectacular on the way to Magic Kingdom, to the return of another annual Festival at Epcot: the 2017 Flower and Garden Festival.
But it sure doesn’t stop there, because we’ve got even more news to explore… by checking out WHAT’S NEW around Walt Disney World! [Read more…]
