NEWS: First COVID-19 Vaccines Arrive in Florida

The situation with the global pandemic has been rapidly changing all around the world. Recently, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland closed again due to rising COVID-19 numbers in the area, and Southern California was placed under a regional stay-at-home order based on its ICU numbers.

There’s also been some news in terms of a COVID-19 vaccine, with the Pfizer vaccine approved and the expectation of thousands of doses being distributed to Florida soon, including many to Orlando. And today a vaccine milestone was reached — the first Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines have been received and administered in Florida.

NEWS: Anaheim School District Pushes Back In-Person Learning Until March

In March of 2020, the Disney parks around the world shut down due to the global pandemic.

Not only were theme parks affected, but shops, restaurants, and schools closed down as well. Even though some Disney theme parks have reopened, others, like Disneyland, remain closed. Recently Los Angeles County announced a safer-at-home order, and today we found out the nearby City of Los Angeles is implementing the same order.

We’ve been constantly watching for further updates from California’s governor for regulations that may impact Disneyland Resort, and we’ve also been keeping an eye out for updates from Florida’s Governor DeSantis on any regulations that may impact Disney World. Today, Governor DeSantis held a press conference and we got a better idea of the state’s direction in terms of coronavirus restrictions and more as COVID-19 numbers increase across the nation.
