Quarantine Gets REAL: Now Orlando Restaurants Have To BAN BOOZE!

As part of the efforts to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus, new policies are being put in to effect immediately in Orlando and throughout the state of Florida with the goal of reducing the number of people gathering in bars and restaurants.

UPDATED! What Is Still Open and What Is Closed in Walt Disney World Today

Currently, the four Walt Disney World theme parks (and both water parks) are temporarily closed as part of the efforts to promote safety due to concerns over the Coronavirus. However, following closure of the parks, select areas of the Resort remained in service of guests during a transitional phase.

NEWS: Raglan Road in Disney Springs Announces Temporary Closure Will Begin Late Tonight — March 16, 2020

You may already be aware that all Disney owned and operated locations in Disney Springs will begin their temporary closure as part of precautions due to the Coronavirus effective tomorrow, March 17, 2020. Disney shared in the announcement that individual tenants will make decisions on whether to continue or adjust operations.

We are busy compiling a list so guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel before their closure on Friday, March 20 can soon know the status of the individual shops and restaurants. All Disney World Resort Salons and Spas Are Closed Including Grand Floridian’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, Disney World’s parks will not be opening today along with all the rest of the Disney parks across the world.

And while Disney World’s theme parks have been forced to temporarily close in the past before (mostly due to hurricanes), its Hotels have decided to remain open until 5 PM on March 20th, but are cancelling some of their normal operations in the meantime.

NEWS: Date Announced for Suspension of Disney Transportation in Walt Disney World Resort

Guests who will be at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel over the next few days before the hotels are closed on March 20, 2020 at 5:00 PM due to concerns over the Coronavirus will want to be advised of some additional changes which will also take place this week.

According to the Walt Disney World website, “All Disney transportation will be suspended beginning the morning of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 through the end of the month.” (Please note that Disney’s Magical Express will continue to transport guests to and from the airport through March 20.)
