Recently, we’ve seen some big changes made regarding distancing and masks in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently issued updated guidance regarding what activities fully vaccinated individuals can do outdoors without a mask. And earlier today, Mayor Demings of Orange County, Florida (where part of Disney World is located) relaxed some distancing rules in the county and announced some mask policy changes coming in the future. Mayor Demings also specifically spoke about theme parks and what changes might happen there.

NEWS: Distancing Rules Relaxed and Mask Changes Announced for Orange County, Florida

As the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines continues to develop, we’ve seen quite a few changes made in terms of mask guidance and rules.

Just yesterday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention relaxed certain parts of its mask guidance when it comes to outdoor activities for those who are fully vaccinated.

In Orange County, Florida, the county where part of Walt Disney World is located, there is a mask mandate in place. The Orange County Mayor has recently indicated that changes regarding the mask mandate and social distancing rules may be coming this summer, and now we’ve got some important updates.

NEWS: CDC Relaxes Outdoor Mask Guidelines

As the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and COVID-19 vaccinations has continued, we’ve seen the guidelines and regulations from various government entities and even theme parks change.

Recently, we saw a major theme park stop temperature checks and outdoor mask requirements. The CDC has also updated its indoor mask guidance for those who are fully vaccinated. But, now BIG changes have been announced when it comes to the use of mask outdoors.

NEWS: President Biden to Announce NEW Outdoor Mask Requirements

We’ve been closely following policy changes as COVID-19 vaccines continue to be distributed.

NEWS: Disneyland’s Vaccination Site Will Close Soon

There has been a LOT going on with Disneyland Resort! Not only is the resort set to reopen on April 30th, but Avengers Campus is set to debut at Disney California Adventure in June!

There it is!

But there have also been plans to discontinue the passholder program (to be replaced with something new), an entire program devoted to expanding the resort, and a brand new merchandise collection to celebrate the reopening.

The rumors are sort of perpetually out there — “Disney World is going to build a 5th theme park!” “It’ll be based on the villains!” “No, it’ll all be princess-themed!” “No, it’ll be based on Disney’s live-action movies!”

We get the hype. Heck, we want it to be true! We can’t deny that an entirely BRAND NEW 5th Disney World theme park in Orlando would be pretty amazing. But, will it actually happen? NEWS: More Americans Will Be Eligible for the COVID-19 Vaccine SOON

The COVID-19 vaccine is continuing to be administered all across the country.

This vaccine rollout is moving at a speedy pace — earlier this month, we reported that all adults would be eligible for their shot about a week and a half earlier than the original goal. States such as Florida have already given those ages 16 and up access to the vaccine. And now, the rest of the country will follow suit.

Here’s When the Disneyland Paris Vaccine Site Will Open

While many Disney Parks around the world have reopened (or are on their way to reopening) since initial closures began last year due to the ongoing health crisis, some still remain closed.

Guests have been back to enjoying Disney World since last summer

Disneyland Paris has gone through a few different phases, having reopened in July 2020, but then closed again shortly after in October. Disney initially planned for the park to reopen on April 2nd, but that has since been postponed and the area will now be used for a different purpose.

But, now we’re seeing something going on with language in the California guidelines and other California theme parks that could signal a potential change.
