When Disney World reopened after the park closures, not all entertainment offerings came back at once. Disney announced that After Hours Events would be returning to the parks in January 2023, and that day is officially here! It has all kicked off at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so come with us as we see what crowds and wait times are like at the very FIRST returning After Hours Event!

The parks have been incredibly busy lately, even though the holiday season is wrapping up. In fact, it feels like the parks are busier now than they were over the holiday break! Today Disney has been extra busy in the crowd department, and these wait times are the proof.Â

So it’s probably no secret that the holiday season brings serious crowds to Disney World. That also means some seriously high wait times.

Granted, we haven’t seen as many crowds as we expected recently, but we have seen high wait times. And today, the EPCOT crowds are HEFTY!! On the flip side of that, things are a little…different in Magic Kingdom. The park that generally has the HIGHEST wait times has some relatively low wait times today!

Did anyone else scream?! Yep, those are the crowds in Disney World today, specifically EPCOT. The parks typically get pretty busy in the week between Christmas and New Year, but what we’re seeing today is unlike any other crowds we’ve seen this year. Don’t believe us? The crowds at Disney World have been weird during the holiday season, with some spots incredibly crowded while others were a little emptier. In terms of wait times, you can find some seriously LONG waits as folks pile into the parks to enjoy the last bit of 2022. Even rides you’d NEVER expect to be super busy might surprise you. But today, well…some of those wait times were really making us cringe.
