This year marks the 25th Anniversary of “The Lion King” (and the live-action version of the film will make its debut in July!). And to celebrate, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is rolling out all the snacks — I mean, all the stops! — with a variety of treats available starting May 24th which will be available through the end of the summer!
Stop by Tamu Tamu for the Simba Ice Cream Sandwich: Vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies and decorated with a chocolate tail and an image of Simba. [Read more…]
The Animal Kingdom is celebrating the arrival of the Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party, but that isn’t all that’s going on here!
We spotted a new photo op, some new food options, and new merchandise on our latest visit to Animal Kingdom.
The holidays are REALLY on now in Walt Disney World…
… and we’ve seen the crowds and the attraction wait times to prove it!
Fortunately, in Animal Kingdom there are lots of new and limited time eats (in addition to all sorts of longtime favorites) to serve the increased number of guests.
Because, as we always say, the best thing about more crowds in Disney World is MORE FOOD!!! [Read more…]
The Animal Kingdom is always a fun park to visit, and this week’s visit kept us busy with lots of new items including #Mickey90 ears, some fun Christmas gifts, new food, and construction updates.
We love how relaxed this scene makes us feel — before we dash around the park! Here’s everything we found this week.
The Animal Kingdom called out to us and we had to visit this week! We found so many new food items AND new merch that we had to make our regular “What’s New” into two posts! We’re tackling food first, of course!
(this park’s Starbucks location) is offering a new Strawberry Cake Pop that we think is smiling at us! It’s really delicious if you’re a strawberry fan!
Good news for coffee lovers out there who don’t want to stand in a Starbucks line for a cup of regular brewed coffee – the hot dog cart located near Pizzafari and Tiffins now has coffee available starting at park open and is typically available until around 1pm.
Nomad Lounge has some new menu items available – and these are included on their allergy-friendly menu. Items include:
The chefs at Tiffins have been busy! There is a new lunch tasting menu as well as other new items on their menu including Peaches and Cream appetizer, Crispy Corn Cake entree, and a Tiffins Dessert Trio. The Lunch Tasting Menu is served from 11:30 – 3:30 and is $35.00 per person. It includes choice of one appetizer and one entree OR choice of one entree and one dessert.

Animal Kingdom’s Africa is a stunning area in the park both visually and culturally. But it’s also home to some seriously delicious Animal Kingdom eats!
From dining with Mickey and friends at the park’s Character Meal at Tusker House to visiting one of our favorite bars in Disney World, to enjoying a Dole Whip (with or without RUM), Animal Kingdom’s Africa has a ton of bragging rights when it comes to food. But all those things I mentioned only scratch the surface, so we’d love it if you’d join us on a Food Safari… I mean, Food Tour in Animal’s Kingdom’s Africa! [Read more…]

has dropped the Salmon BLT from the menu, but the Turkey BLT and Pimento-Cheese BLT happily remain!
So, if you pull up a bar stool at the Dawa Bar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom (as you should), and you order a new Ngumu specialty cocktail, can you guess what you’ll receive?
You’ll be getting JUNGLE JUICE, spiked with Meyer’s Dark Rum: it’s the new Ngumu Jungle Juice!
Now, you may know Jungle Juice — served around Animal Kingdom and also Animal Kingdom Lodge in spots like Boma — by one or more of its other names. It’s know as Moonshine for breakfast at Trail’s End, and Liliko’i Juice at ‘Ohana’s Best Friend’s Breakfast and Kona Cafe. Of course, it’s also known as POG Juice at those locations, which stand for the ingredients used in the drink no matter the name: Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava juices! [Read more…]
