Basically, if you traveled at some point during the year, we applaud you for your bravery. Perhaps one of the most frustrating things you can deal with when traveling is getting bumped from your flight…but sometimes it might be worth it!

Will you be flying to Disney World this summer?
Florida tourism is already breaking records this year, and this weekend alone, over 2 million Floridians are expected to travel. However, although travel demand is up, there are still some factors — including the ongoing global pandemic, high gas prices, and inflation — that might make travel for many more challenging this summer. Plus it might be a little harder to find flights to Orlando soon on one airline.
It’s been a tumultuous time for airlines and flying in general. JetBlue recently announced that flyers would see a reduction in the airline’s summer schedule as they work to hire more staff ahead of one of the peak seasons for flying and traveling — summertime.

JetBlue was also snubbed by Spirit Airlines for a potential merger after Spirit chose to accept Frontier Airlines’ offer instead. As the travel and airline industry gears up for a busy summer, one airline has recently reached a deal with its pilots’ labor union on new contract terms.
If you fly to Disney World, the first stop of your vacation is probably the Orlando International Airport. (And if you’re lucky, you might get to hug an adorable pup while you’re there.)

This airport is usually very busy since Orlando has so many tourist attractions. In fact, the airport is currently working on another terminal in order to better accommodate the crowds and flights. It’s no surprise that it feels so crowded here right now: According to one report, the number of flights that will pass through the Orlando International Airport this quarter is up by almost 10,000 from the same time last year. UPDATE:Â The problem with 5G networks near airports is being resolved now, and those involved believe that passengers will not see any more flight disruptions due to those issues.
