Dining in Disneyland: Mother’s Day Royal Buffet Reservations Now Open

Want to give mom the royal treatment this year? Reserve your family a spot at Disneyland’s Mother’s Day Royal Buffet!

Held in the Disneyland Hotel’s Grand Ballroom (check out what it looks like here), this amazing event takes place on Sunday May 8th between the hours of 10:00am and 3:00pm, with the last reservation being accepted at 2:45pm.

Dine in a beautifully decorated ballroom accompanied by all of your favorite Disney Princesses and live music. Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, which means today’s the day to call and get your family’s spot. Special Snacks: Disneyland’s Lunar New Year Egg Roll

Our Dining in Disneyland columnist, Heather Sievers, celebrated Lunar New Year in Disneyland with this special egg roll!

A few weekends ago, I had the chance to visit Disneyland’s special “Family Fun Weekends” event for Lunar New Year. The celebration was held in the Festival Arena next to Big Thunder Ranch. The decor was amazing and there were special character appearances that included Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, Mulan & Mushu, all dressed in traditional Chinese costumes.

The mini cupcake sampler from Marceline’s Confectionery has been on my radar for months. As a regular visitor to Marceline’s in Downtown Disney, I’ve been eyeing it the past several trips. The problem: we’re usually on our way to dinner or to the parks, and a box of cupcakes is not something I’m interested in carrying around.

Stuff That’s Rad: Disney Gummy Kabobs

Another thing that’s rad from Dining in Disneyland columnist Heather Sievers!!

Just recently I was at The Candy Palace on Main Street in Disneyland when these adorable gummy kabobs caught my eye. My boys were not with me, so as a little surprise treat, I picked up 2 of the Fab 5 Disney character ones that include Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald & Goofy in that order from top to bottom.

Each character is its own piece, so there are actually 5 pieces skewered on the stick. On our next visit, I found the Pixar gummy kabobs at Marceline’s in Downtown Disney. Every time I visit Disneyland, I take a peek inside the Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street to see if there is anything new and exciting. When I saw this cute little number with a cherry on top, I decided that my arm would not need to be twisted to try it. I mean Cherry Granola. That sounds healthy right? Granola? Isn’t that good for you!?!

I’ve dined at Catal in Downtown Disney, Anaheim, a few times, but this last visit was definitely worth writing home — I mean to you guys — about.
