When Disney World announced their plan to reopen July 11th, they emphasized an increase in the amount of “contactless experiences” for their guests.
One of the major areas that will be impacted by this are character meet and greets, which will be temporarily suspended. But what other things could be gone for the time being?
Disney World began a phased reopening with Disney Springs on May 20th and plans to reopen their theme parks beginning July 11th.
Although Disney initially announced that their hotels would reopen alongside the theme parks, they later changed the wording on their website. As of now, only Disney World’s Disney Vacation Club properties and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are scheduled to reopen on June 22nd.
But now we might have a hint about which resorts and restaurants could be included in the next phase of reopening.
Disney World and Disneyland have been closed since March, but attractions over on the east coast have been slowly opening up to guests again.
Universal Orlando plans to open its theme parks this week and Disney World will follow next month. Earlier today, we learned that Disneyland Resort is now only accepting reservations beginning July 15th. But according to recent reports, Universal Studios Hollywood is already considering opening the theme parks in July.
The past two weeks have been filled with lots of Disney Springs merchandise and food, since the shopping and dining district has re-opened!
