There are some BIG changes coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park!

If you’ve been following the Disney news, you know that DinoLand, U.S.A. is closing permanently to be transformed into a land inspired by the Tropical Americas. The new land will have rides themed to Indiana Jones and Encanto, as well as new shopping, dining, and activities. And soon, the construction is kicking off!

DinoLand U.S.A.’s days are numbered. Earlier this year at the 2024 D23 Ultimate Fan Event, Disney confirmed that the entirety of the Animal Kingdom opening day area was being closed to make way for the park’s new Tropical Americas land. While rides Dinosaur and TriceraTop Spin will be the most noticeable things to disappear, there are further unique things that are going to disappear forever.Â
Can you believe it?! It won’t be too long before we get Pueblo Esperanza in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!!

This weekend, Disney hosted the massive D23 Ultimate Fan Event in Anaheim, California. The sprawling convention broke news from across Disney’s spectrum of offerings, including films, television streaming, video games, and parks.
It seems like we’ve been holding our breath ever since Disney’s announcement to retheme an entire land of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

D23’s convention is just a few months away, and we are getting excited for what is to come!

We also got to take a look at some exhibits that will be on display for attendees to see. Last year, Disney announced that $60 billion would be allocated toward expansion over a decade and experts have been speculating what that massive budget could yield. From new themed lands to larger-scale expansions, the Disney Parks have the opportunity to grow exponentially, especially at Disney World. Disney has recently announced a TON of theme park expansion plans — from new lands in Disneyland and Tokyo Disney to more than one expansion in Disney World — we’re excited about them all. But, if you ask us, there’s one update in particular that we can’t wait for!
Piecing together what’s next for Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is starting to feel like one giant string board that we’re all feverishly trying to follow.
