We love Cast Members — they really make the magic!
Recently, Disney shared a story about one cast member’s creativity, and we just had to share it with you!
For the past 18 months, Disney World’s Cast Members have donned the iconic 50th Anniversary name tags.
These name tags were the first of their kind and just a bit more glitzy than the traditional Cast Member name tags with the iridescent lettering and 50th Anniversary logo. But the 50th Anniversary is now over, and Disney World’s Cast Members are still rocking those name tags. So that means that now it’s time for a change!
We’ve seen The Walt Disney Company go through the wringer lately.
After Bob Iger returned as CEO, more executive shakeups followed, and we learned that Disney would be making $5.5 billion in spending cuts — including reducing its workforce by 7,000 jobs. And now, with a Thanos-like snap of the fingers, an entire department and program have been eliminated.
Back in February of 2023, current Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that there would be 7,000 job cuts at Disney.
We’ve since gotten some updates about what Disney Cast Members may (or may not) be impacted by these job cuts, and in early March we shared that some of these layoffs and job cuts could begin next month. Now we’ve got a huge update on what’s happening at Disney.
Cast Members help make all of the magic happen at Disney World, and we couldn’t be more grateful for them.
Disney World Cast Members are leaving their mark permanently on an upcoming attraction at EPCOT!
Recently, there has been a bit of a rift between Disney employees and the company itself.
Union workers are currently in the middle of trying to negotiate a contract with the company, asking for better pay and benefits. But for those employees who work in the offices, there’s a separate battle going on. And they’re pushing back against a new rule from Bob Iger.

The thing is, Disney World is filled with magical moments, memorable places, and magnificent experiences. So how on earth do you narrow down THE time, THE place, and THE moment for everything to be absolutely perfect? I mean… no pressure, right? 😉

If there’s one thing Disney World has plenty of, it’s magical moments. Walking down Main Street, U.S.A., for the first time on your vacation, biting into a Mickey pretzel, taking off on Rock ‘n Rollercoaster, and watching fireworks at night are just a few of our favorites.
Today, we ran into one of our favorite details in the parks, and we wanted to tell you about it so that you know to watch out for it on your next vacation! [Read more…]
There are so many things at Disney that are considered “iconic,” and among those are the Cast Members.
For decades now, Cast Members at both Disneyland and Disney World have donned an equally iconic name tag. After all, it’s gotta be pretty cool to show off that you work for Mickey Mouse! Now, there’s a new update coming for Cast Members to celebrate the company’s 100th Anniversary.
Going to Disney World is very expensive (and not getting any cheaper), and it can be tricky to plan everything just right so that you’re able to do all you want to in the parks. So why do people keep going back?
One of the main reasons that people return to Disney World again and again is the memories they have and continue to make when they visit. Meeting Mickey Mouse and the princesses, riding thrilling roller coasters, eating a Mickey ice cream bar while watching a parade — all of these can become core memories that inspire nostalgia later on. But, according to Disney CEO Bob Chapek, none of those things are the most important part of a Disney vacation. See what Chapek said is the “secret sauce” to making magical memories at Disney World.
