Former CEO Bob Chapek left not long ago and Bob Iger suddenly returned to his CEO role. Since that time, we’ve seen slight increases in stock values, drops in stock value, and an activist’s attempt to bid for a seat on the Board of Directors of the Walt Disney Company. Now, we’ve got an update on what’s going on.
Bob Chapek is out. Bob Iger is back. And BIG changes are already taking place.

We’ve taken a look at how Iger’s return has impacted stock values, organizational changes that are set to take place now that Iger is back, and whether Iger will reverse some of Chapek’s biggest decisions. But Iger’s return seems to also be having an impact when it comes to some executives.

Chapek’s name has been at the center of a lot of news lately, from the situation with Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Bill (what critics call the “Don’t Say Gay” bill), to the firing of a top executive, and more. We previously shared that the contract for Bob Chapek, Disney’s CEO, was likely to be renewed, and now we’ve got an update.

Bob Iger, the current Chairman of the Disney Company, will be stepping down at the end of this year. His replacement has already been announced, though one media analyst thinks Iger’s time with Disney isn’t over yet.
