There are lots of hotel, dining, and shopping options in Walt Disney World and in the areas surrounding it in Orlando, but soon there will be more!
Disney previously announced that they were building the Flamingo Crossings Town Center, located just off of the Walt Disney World property, which would contain hotels, stores (including a Target!), and restaurants, and today we’ve got more details about the places you’ll be able to visit when this shopping center opens!

It takes a lot of work to keep Disney World looking fresh, clean, and shiny for guests!
Disney will often schedule refurbishments to freshen up attractions or work on larger projects. It’s best to know what rides or venues are closed so you can plan around the schedule during your vacation. Let’s take a look at what’s closed next week December 14th through December 20th!
Nighttime spectaculars are still more or less on pause in Disney World right now, with a few minor exceptions like projections and light pyro on Cinderella Castle, Tower of Terror, and the Tree of Life.
Fireworks are a BIG piece of a classic Disney vacation, so we’re waiting patiently for them to return. Luckily, Disney has continued work on EPCOT’s upcoming nighttime show, Harmonious, and now we’ve got an UPDATE from above!
Disney World is constantly updating and improving attractions, resorts, and restaurants on property.
It takes a lot of effort to make the theme parks look fresh and new! The scheduled refurbishments can sometimes put a snag in your plans, however. We’re here to update you on all the scheduled weekly refurbs between December 6th through December 13, 2020. This way, you can plan around the closures on your trip!
We’re CERTAINLY looking forward to the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT.
Due to delays from the global health crisis, the new attraction is now on track to open in 2021. We’ve been keeping a close eye on construction progress in the France Pavilion expansion from above in the Disney Skyliner, and now, we just got ANOTHER sneak peek thanks to the ABC Holiday Special!
EPCOT is getting a major transformation with a reimagined look, attractions, and more enhancements!
As part of the transformation, Imaginers have created a new color scheme that will be highlighted on shops, structures, and paint jobs around the theme park. We’ve already seen the new design and colors appear on the newly painted ticket booths and construction walls. The new theme has started to move more buildings around the park!
Walt Disney World will schedule planned refurbishments for attractions throughout the year. It’s best to be aware of the schedule ahead of time so you can plan your vacation around the closures!
December draws in holiday crowds who flock to the theme parks for a chance to see the Christmas decorations and new entertainment.
