The Disney Cruise Line website Travel Advisory page has been updated to inform guests of further cancellations to upcoming itineraries.
Up to this point, Disney Cruise Line has cancelled sailings for departures through April 28th for the fleet, and for sailings embarking or debarking in Vancouver — which specifically affects the Disney Wonder — through the end of June. [Read more…]
The CDC has just announced an extension of the “No Sail Order” originally issued on March 14th for all cruise ships by at least 100 days.
Guests who currently have a voyage booked with Disney Cruise Line should note that — as of this morning’s press time — the official Disney Cruise Line website still notes suspended sailings of all departures through April 28, 2020 for the fleet, and for sailings embarking or debarking in Vancouver — which specifically affects the Disney Wonder — through the end of June. With Disney World, Disneyland, and all of the international parks closed, Disney is facing an unprecedented situation. And that leaves the company with some very difficult decisions.
The current situation has had an immense impact on people across the globe. And even though Disney is a major company, they haven’t been immune to the effects. All of the Disney parks are currently closed, Disney Cruise Line sailings are halted until at least April 28th, and many other arms of the Walt Disney Company face an uncertain future. With a huge section of their business impacted, Disney has some hard decisions to make about how to move forward.
On top of all the closure at Disney Parks around the world, Disney Cruise Line has halted its sailings to keep guests and crew safe during this time!
Although canceled departures have now been extended through April 28th, the cruises are also updating their refund policies (so guests still get a little extra Disney magic).

On March 14th, Disney Cruise Line decided to halt all departures until April 12th, but today we’ve just seen their timeframe extended.
And while we’ve been keeping you up-to-date with all of Disney’s closure announcements, Disney Cruise Line has now canceled all sailings through April 28th.

In the past couple of weeks, the global health situation has caused Disney to make tough decisions that will surely have an effect on its bottom line in the coming fiscal year.
The Walt Disney Company currently has four primary business segments: Studio Entertainment, Media Networks, Direct-to-Consumer & International, and Parks, Experiences & Products. And most of them are completely under fire right now.
