The Disney Dining Plan is coming back to the parks!
So far Disney has shared that the Dining Plan will be coming back at an undisclosed time in the future. Disney hasn’t really announced too many details about the return of these plans just yet, which leaves us with a LOT of questions. Most importantly — what will the Dining Plan options look like when they return? Since we can’t quite see into the future yet, we thought we’d take a little trip in our imaginary time machine to the past (*cue wind chime flashback music*). What changes has the Dining Plan seen since it was introduced? And could more changes be in store for our old friend the Disney Dining Plan? Here’s what we know. [Read more…]
Let’s be honest here — food at Disney World can be expensive.
You can buy a whole meal off of McDonald’s dollar menu sometimes for less than it’ll cost you to buy a box of popcorn. And Disney’s prices are only getting steeper. Recently, we saw literally HUNDREDS of price increases hit a whole bunch of items including popcorn buckets, DOLE Whips, and more. But what do price increases have to do with the Disney Dining Plan? Well, here’s what we’ve seen.
Planning a trip to Disney World in 2022?
That’s so exciting! Of course, Disney World is EXPENSIVE, so you might have budgeting on your mind. There are a few aspects of Disney World that will be MORE pricy next year. Here are eight additional costs to plan for in Disney World in 2022!
Many things have changed about Disney World over the past couple of years!
We have a whole new paid system that has replaced FastPass+ called Genie+, there are new Annual Passes (but, sales for most passes currently on hold), character meet and greets have been adapted but are returning to normal this year, and a new ride is opening soon in EPCOT. One thing that’s changed a lot of people’s vacations drastically is the Disney Dining Plan no longer being available. Disney has said it will come back, so let’s break down if the Dining Plan will return in 2022.
Prix fixe menus, or multi-course meals at a singular fixed price, have become more commonplace around Disney World. More recently, menus at new restaurants like Space 220 are totally centered around the prix fixe experience (EPCOT’s other new restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris, has a prix fixe option on their menu as well). Some long-standing restaurants have shifted to a prix fixe model as well, including Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and the new three-course menu at California Grill for the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Is this just a slick new way for Disney World to get guests to pay more for more food than they’ll actually eat while disguising it as a bargain?
One of the most exciting parts of planning a Disney World vacation is making your Advance Dining Reservations! With hundreds (yep, you read that right, HUNDREDS) of restaurants to choose from and many of those requiring reservations, it can be an overwhelming decision to make at times, and you could wind up making a few mistakes along the way!
Today, we’re going to point out a few common mistakes people make that you should avoid when booking your next meal at a Disney World restaurant.
Even after those pricey tickets, hotel rooms, flights, and more, dining in Disney World can add up to be one of the priciest line items in your vacation budget. It’s important to get a sense of how much you’ll actually spend on food ahead of time. You may be surprised to find out just how easy it is to go over budget, especially with all of those enticing snacks (not to mention visiting during one of EPCOT’s festivals!).
If you’re planning an upcoming Disney World vacation, it’s important to sit down and estimate how much you may wind up spending on food, as well as review some simple ways to save a few bucks on your next meal in the parks and resorts!
As the saying goes, the only thing that’s constant at Disney World is change — and that has never rung more true than it has in the past few years!
If you’re planning a trip to Disney World soon or you’re preparing to visit the parks in the coming months, there are a lot of changes going on that you should be aware of! From the 50th Anniversary Celebration festivities and EVERYTHING that’s a part of it to brand new hotels, restaurants, and the latest health mandates, let’s recap some of the biggest things you should know about if you’re heading to Disney World soon.
