March was a BIG month of news for Disney World and lots of news can sometimes make for surprises!
From dining changes to health measure updates and more, let’s take a look at the four most unexpected things that happened in Disney World in March!
Birthdays in Disney World are a pretty big deal. You can get a free birthday button, eat lots of cake, and receive birthday wishes from complete strangers — talk about special treatment! Back on October 1st, we celebrated the Magic Kingdom’s 50th Anniversary, but on April 22nd, (which also happens to be Earth Day), it will be time to wish a happy birthday to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Of course, Disney tends to roll out the red carpet during a big birthday celebration, so we’re expecting some exclusive merchandise, tasty treats, and maybe a photo op or two; you never know what you might see! Now, Disney just released the full list of special snacks arriving at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for Earth Day. Let’s take a look!
There is so much to see and do at Disney Springs. From the shopping, to the entertainment, to the amazing food offerings, you could spend an entire day there and still not see everything!
One Disney Springs fan-favorite is Gideon’s Bakehouse, where each month features new and exciting limited-time menu items, and Gideon’s just shared this month’s Limited Edition flavors and merchandise!
We don’t know about you, but we were SICK of winter — springtime really came to the rescue this March! In Disney World, spring is a pretty busy time of year. Spring break crowds took OVER the parks and resorts, and for now, high wait times and large crowds are fairly common in Disney World. Now that Disney is relaxing its health and safety guidelines, more and more people are flocking to the parks for a little vacation.
With all the hustle and bustle happening around Disney, there’s been a lot of news in a short amount of time. If you need a little refresher, you’ve come to the right place! Come with us as we discuss FOURTEEN new things we learned in Disney World in March.
All of the EPCOT food festivals have something unique about them — Flower and Garden has beautiful topiaries, Festival of the Arts is known for its creative food presentations, and Festival of the Holidays brings in all different kinds of festive traditions from around the world.
And then, we have Food and Wine Festival! It’s probably the most iconic one in the park, as it is recognized as the original Disney food festival. It’s the one that started it all! So, naturally, we get pretty excited for it. But in order to plan for the festival, we gotta know when it is, right?! So, here we go — it’s the thing we’ve all been waiting for…can we get a drumroll please? 🥁 🥁 🥁
You can have all kinds of different experiences at Disney World restaurants, from character sightings to your food being lit on fire (yeah, really!).
There are even some restaurants where the servers are a bit sassy, like 50s Prime Time Cafe and Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. Another spot where you could find this was Whispering Canyon Cafe in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, but we haven’t seen all of the fun shenanigans from servers since before the pandemic began — UNTIL NOW!
Disneyland has some absolutely iconic desserts!
From Dole Whip to churros to Mickey beignets, there is no shortage of photogenic and delicious sweet treats. And, we just tried out another fun dessert that will make you feel like a kid again!
Earlier this month, Disney announced that a new table-service restaurant would be coming to Disney’s BoardWalk — The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers!
This restaurant is expected to open in 2023, and today, Disney shared a little more about the creator of the restaurant, Gwendolyn Rogers.
Who says you need a park ticket to have fun at Disney World? Thanks to a little shopping district known as Disney Springs, we can eat, explore, and shop without stepping foot in a Disney park. Sorry, Space Mountain, we’ve got other plans today!
Disney Springs has some INCREDIBLE restaurants (plus some killer bakeries, too), and plenty of places to shop! Whether you’re there for the new food, entertainment, or merchandise (or maybe a little of everything!), come with us to see what’s new over in Disney Springs!
There are TONS of Disney World treats that were tailor-made to be photographed — we’re talking colorful cupcakes, over-the-top milkshakes, and artsy cocktails. These treats are so cute that they practically BEG people to post an Instagram photo! But not every Disney snack is a total winner.
During our visit to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we noticed a CHANGE in a popular cupcake!
