Whether you’re booking your first Walt Disney World vacation or your fiftieth, it’s easy to make some mistakes!
Planning a trip to Disney World involves several (slightly complex) steps, and it’s easy to forget things along the way. Today, we’re sharing our list of common mistakes that people make when booking their trip so that you know what NOT to do…and you can set your trip up for success before it even begins!
We’ve gotten big news on fireworks, masks, and more today, and we need to stop for a SNACK!
The recently reopened Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort next door are some of our favorite spots to head for an unexpectedly tasty treat. We’ve tried some delicious coffee and some summery eats…and now we’re back for a brand-new treat.
When planning your Disney World vacation, Moderate Resorts can be a great option that won’t break the bank but offer up some larger rooms and more amenities than a Value Resort.
Currently, there are five different moderate resort options, including Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside, and The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. And, while there are a lot of things that make these resorts worth checking out, you might stumble upon some BIG problems that you don’t expect. So, instead of wishing you knew these things before you booked your stay, we’re breaking them down for ya!
There are SO many different Disney-owned hotels and off-property hotels near Disney World in Orlando that it can be difficult to know just where to stay for your upcoming trip.
One of the biggest factors in picking a hotel can be its cost. Today we’re taking a look at just how much it costs to stay at Disney World-owned and operated hotels, and what the costs would look like if you opted instead to stay at other hotels on property or other hotels nearby.
There are over a dozen hotels on Disney World property.
That means you can probably find somethin’ for everyone, whether you’re looking for a well-themed resort, an epic pool, or ALL the luxury. And sure, the hotels themselves are prettyyy magical (sometimes, the characters even make an appearance!). But it’s not all pixie dust, all the time.
Ready to visit some Disney World hotels?!
We’ve been gathering the latest hotel news for ya all week, and now we’ve got LOTS of updates on food, merchandise, and more! Let’s get started.

It’s a BIG day for Disney hotels!
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has officially reopened! The Disney Vacation Club villas reopened here wayyy back in 2020, along with some shopping and dining options, but the resort as a whole has remained shuttered. Now, non-DVC rooms are OPEN and available for booking! So of course, we had to bring ya along to take a peek inside.
You’ve spent all day in the parks, and they’re closing after some long hours of fun! But, if you’re looking for a late night meal or snack, Disney World’s not the greatest place for after-hours eats at the moment.
Many of the places around the parks currently close early in the night, so it becomes a bit difficult to find a restaurant or quick-service spot open after you leave the parks. Although some of your favorite dining locations may not be open all night, we’re giving you a full list of all the places where you can find late-night meals in Disney World after 10 PM! And don’t forget, Uber Eats and other delivery services are available as well.
