Theme Park Being Built By Former Disney Imagineers Faces 2-Year Construction Delay

What is going on with the theme park that previous Disney Imagineers are building?

We have been keeping an eye out for any updates about American Heartland, a theme park being built in Oklahoma. This new theme park, which has a team of former Disney Imagineers working on it, has been dubbed the Disneyland of Oklahoma. It is set to cost around $2 billion and will span 1,000 acres, including a 125-acre theme park, a water park, a large RV park with cabins, a dinner theatre, an amphitheater, a swimming pool, and a clubhouse. The park was expected to open in 2026, but it seems that the opening date will be pushed back.

We’ve got an update on a new theme park that’s in the works!

There are a few new theme parks in progress around the U.S., including Universal’s Epic Universe and another new experience in Texas. But Universal isn’t the only one getting in on the action. Several months ago, we learned about American Heartland, a $2 billion theme park and resort project located in northeast Oklahoma that’s being created by former Disney Imagineers. And now we’ve got a new update on the project’s expected timeline!

There’s just something special about Disney Parks. Even the international parks are magical. Disney Just Debuted BRAND NEW Robot Technology!

Disney is constantly developing new technology to use in the theme parks.

It’s HULK!

Sometimes it’s things like My Disney Experience and Disney Genie+ that you can access on your phone, but other times it’s impressive new ride systems or animatronics that look so realistic it’s hard to believe they’re fake (we’re looking at you — Na’vi River Journey Shaman of Song!).
