You can use Disney Genie+ to skip some long lines, keep an eye on the wait times, rope drop, and more to try and avoid those really long wait times for your favorite rides. Another tool to use is the Single Rider Line at certain rides, and a NEW ride is testing out this option now in Disney World!

Things have been pretty busy around the parks as we’re in the middle of the holiday season. And, it makes sense that they’re busy, because there is so much to do! From EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays to the giant gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian, it’s easy to have some holiday fun at Disney World. We like to keep up with how lines are looking in order to gauge how busy it is, so here’s a look at all the average wait times in Disney World from this week.
If you’ve ever been to Disney World, you may have rope-dropped a popular attraction at some point. We’ve discussed the pros and cons of rope drop, but have you ever tried to be first in line for a bakery? Believe it or not, even some FOOD locations in Disney World can accumulate some major lines.
Gideon’s Bakehouse

There are some things in Disney World you just can’t avoid, like waiting in lines.
Pirates line
It’s very rare that you don’t have to wait in line for rides unless it’s a show at EPCOT or the Enchanted Tiki Room in Magic Kingdom (which deserves more appreciation, people!). Lines are just something you have to accept as part of your Disney trip, especially now that FastPasses are no longer available. BUT there are some long lines that you don’t have to waste your time standing in if you plan correctly! And we bet the people at Magic Kingdom this morning wish they would’ve known that beforehand.

All four parks hit capacity this weekend, and LAST weekend, the double holiday made for some major crowds. But when we passed the line for Na’vi River Journey in Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, we definitely weren’t expecting what we saw.
Walt Disney World reopened with new health and safety guidelines to promote physical distancing in the theme parks.
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway Posted Wait Time
The attractions were modified with distanced seating or received plexiglass barriers between rows. Crowds were considerably lower in the first few months of reopening. Disney World has implemented new health and safety guidelines that allow for physical distancing between travel groups.
Long Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Line
The new physical distancing guidelines have been implemented everywhere from the seating in restaurants to every attraction queue in Disney World. Groups are spaced out 6 feet apart from others, which usually makes the ride lines look twice as long. The lines for popular attractions end up extending all over the theme parks.
