Frozen recently took over part of Disney World’s Blizzard Beach. Frozen-themed lands are planned for Disneyland Paris and Tokyo DisneySea. Frozen Ever After almost always has long lines at EPCOT in Disney World. But we’ll admit we were still surprised when we learned that a Frozen 3 was in the works. We weren’t the only ones, though.

So far, we’ve seen everything from The Lion King to Beauty and the Beast to Aladdin get made over, and up next is another film from the Disney Renaissance — The Little Mermaid. The new adaptation stars Halle Bailey as Ariel and recently, the star shared some inside thoughts on the film!

The 95th Academy Awards were held on Sunday, March 12th, and The Walt Disney Company had a total of seven movies nominated for various awards. Disney’s nominees included a few of the most talked-about films of the past year, like Avatar: The Way of Water, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Turning Red. The panels at the fan event discussed everything from movies to shows to theme park projects around the world. Many of the Disney parks projects that were discussed were things we already knew about, but then towards the end of the presentation, we ventured into “Blue Sky” territory — things that MIGHT come to the parks in the future. And now we’re left wondering which of those ideas will actually come to fruition!

Recently we got our first peek at Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, the evil sea witch and Ariel’s main foe! Disney also announced they are searching for lookalikes to portray Ariel in the parks. Halle Bailey, the actress starring as Ariel in this remake, just showed us another (mini) lookalike — a brand-new doll inspired by the film!

We saw all kinds of exciting updates, like a new trailer for the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, confirmation of Inside Out 2, and brand-new movie announcements!
