The company recently released the earnings report and held its earnings call for the second quarter of 2024, where it outlined how the theme parks were doing financially, how streaming is holding up, and more. However, there are a few things the company did NOT mention during the call, and we need to talk about them.

Walt Disney Studios
Disney has a TON of upcoming movies and shows on the horizon, each one more exciting sounding than the last. In fact, there were over 30 remakes, reboots, and sequel movies in the works at Walt Disney Studios last we checked. No matter how you feel about the remakes, we can all probably agree that a trailer for a new Disney movie is exciting — and we’ve got one to share now!

Inside Out 2 is set to open this summer on June 14th, and we’ve also got Mufasa: The Lion King releasing on December 20th (just in time for Christmas!). However, we’re really excited that there are TWO Moana movies in the works, including Moana 2, which releases on November 27th, and a live-action Moana. Now, we’ve got a huge update on BOTH films.

Now, you can watch content from Hulu right on the Disney+ app. This now means you could see Peter Griffin from Family Guy displayed right next to Mickey and Minnie. But, we just realized something about the merger that is truly life-changing.

CEO Bob Iger has shared his thoughts on the matter which garnered criticism of their own, but has previously said that Disney is “committed to delivering age-appropriate content for family audiences while also telling stories that reflect the world around us and that foster greater understanding, greater perspective, greater acceptance of all people.” And, one Disney actor thinks the first queer princess could be in development soon.
