They’ve chosen to release some movies, like Soul, directly to the Disney+ streaming platform, while others have been released both in theaters in and on Disney+ for an extra fee, like Raya and the Last Dragon. So, what is the situation for movie releases moving forward?

The release of Raya and the Last Dragon is getting close!

Today, Disney announced that you can now pre-order it on Disney+. Basically, this entails paying $29.99 for Premier Access so you can watch it on the streaming service starting March 5th — the same day it releases in theaters. It’s a similar model to when Disney released the live-action Mulan last year. But what if you don’t want to pay?
