The highly-anticipated coaster is coming soon to Magic Kingdom, and the opening date was announced just yesterday. But within 24 hours, people are already setting their plans to check out the new ride — Disney Park Passes are filling up!

The system was first introduced to help manage attendance in 2020 when Disney World reopened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, guests are required to “reserve” the park that they want to visit in advance, and if that park is already filled up for the day? Well, you might be out of luck. But is there a chance that Disney World could nix the controversial system in 2023? We’re looking at the evidence.

When the Disney World parks reopened following the 2020 closure, they introduced the Disney Park Pass Reservation System. With this new process, all guests are now required to make a reservation for their park of choice each day in order to get in. Now that the reservation system has been in place for nearly two years, we’ve got a pretty good idea of which dates are especially likely to sell out…so be sure to plan accordingly!
