It’s been a wild ride this week in Disney World! While Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom have officially reopened to guests, Disney Springs is still welcoming everyone back to shop, dine, and have a great time!

Although there are SO many places to eat in Disney Springs that have reopened to guests, those visiting Disney World can once again eat a meal during a thunderstorm and have a VOLCANOOO! for dessert once again!
From its rosy-colored flower beds to the newly refurbished Cinderella Castle, our trip to Magic Kingdom yesterday was a rhapsody in PINK!

And now we’ve just learned that a new pair of Designer Ears will be dropping tomorrow featuring our new favorite hue!
Can you believe Food and Wine time is just around the corner?? While the 2020 Epcot Food and Wine Festival will run from July 15th through the Fall (the longest running festival EVER), you can see the FULL booth menus and more now!

Disney World is reopening this week, and that means that some guests are ready to plan their trips to the parks.

During the historic Disney World closure, new ticket sales and hotel reservations were indefinitely suspended so that Disney could accommodate guests with existing reservations. New vacation packages for 2021 opened first and last night, Disney announced that 2020 purchases would be available TODAY. It’s official! 2020 Disney World tickets and hotel reservations are available NOW!
When Disney World closed its parks, new ticket sales and the ability to make new hotel reservations were suspended.

Disney wanted to make sure they were accommodating guests with existing tickets and hotel reservations (including Annual Passholders) when they reopened the parks and rolled out the Disney Park Pass system. Disney World has already welcomed new vacation package sales for 2021 and now, Disney has shared when they will resume 2020 ticket sales and hotel bookings.

Magic Kingdom on cast member preview day, July 2020
As Disney World starts to re-open this week, the parks have started to make big modifications in the parks that affect many guests’ vacation plans. Since circumstances have been evolving constantly, Disney has been vague on purpose in order to switch things up when conditions change. Although Disney World is still doing everything they can to make vacations magical, we’re giving you a look at why Disney is being confusing on purpose right now!
We’re here in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom today as the park prepares to reopen officially to guests on Saturday, July 11th.
Space Mountain
Today, we are here with a friend who invited us along as a Cast Member preview is currently taking place. From Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to Splash Mountain, we’ve been visiting attractions (of course!) as part of our day. And — speaking of those Magic Kingdom Mountains — a visit to Space Mountain was also on the list.
Downtown Disney will be reopening in Disneyland on July 9th. There will also be a preview for Cast Members on July 8th.

While the shopping and dining district will likely be opening again with outdoor dining only with more locations to come soon, Salt and Straw will be mixing up ice cream for guests again this week!
Disney World is seeing a lot of changes in the parks before reopening with the ever-changing protocols and guidelines taking place in Florida.

Different locations in Disney Springs have recently been affected by Florida’s alcohol ban, where restaurants who make 50% of their profits from the sale of alcohol were forced to close. However, the Florida order has been updated with a new amendment that changes the details of the ban. Instead, restaurants who sell both food and alcohol are able to operate with a limited capacity of 50% and distancing measures.
Since Disney World will start to re-open this week beginning with Annual Passholder Previews, Disney Transportation will also start going back into operation.
Green Monorail
While Disney Buses already opened up again on June 22nd with new health and safety modifications, other transportations options will be following starting July 7th. Although the Skyliner will be opening again July 15th, the Monorails are slated to be one of the first Disney Transportation systems to welcome guests back again.
