This quarter’s call provided new subscriber numbers for Disney+, and some important information about the theme parks. From Marvel shows like Loki and WandaVision to Star Wars series like The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi, there’s certainly no shortage of ad-free content on the service. But, Disney announced a while ago that ads would be coming to Disney+ in the form of two different tiered plans — one with ads and one without. And now, we know just exactly how much those plans will cost — and your ad-free Disney+ experience is about to get MORE expensive.
Disney announced during its third-quarter earnings call in 2022 that its streaming service, Disney+, has again seen a large increase in subscriptions. Currently, Disney+ has 152.1 million subscribers, which is a 31% increase from the same time last year. But an increase in subscribers isn’t the only change we’ll see on Disney+ — Disney has finally announced more information about the new ad-supported tier coming to this streaming service!

Lightyear Ears in Magic Kingdom
Ahead of its release in theaters, it was reported that Pixar’s new movie, Lightyear, was unable to get permission to be shown in theaters in 14 countries in the Middle East and Asia. Now, it appears that Disney+ subscribers in the region will also be unable to stream the new movie, along with BAYMAX!, Pixar’s new series.
