The Walt Disney Company‘s third-quarter earnings call answered a LOT of questions and addressed several important topics regarding the future of the company. One of the topics on many people’s minds lately has been the announcement that Disney may be diving deeper into the world of sports betting with the launch of ESPN BET.

Disney’s most recent earning call — for the 3rd quarter of 2022 — provided several interesting insights about The Walt Disney Company. We learned that Disney+ gained 14 million subscribers in the previous quarter, bringing the total number of subscribers to over 152 million. We also learned that revenue from the Disney parks increased by $4.3 billion. But not all of the reports were in Disney’s favor.

Crowds in Magic Kingdom
With the pandemic closures, Disney has seen some pent-up demand for its theme parks. People weren’t able to travel for a while, which meant that there was more demand once the parks finally did reopen.
