food IS a theme park
Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!

Last month, we learned about a MAJOR update coming to select Disney World Table Service Restaurants. We then noticed that the My Disney Experience app had added Mobile Order to one of our favorite table service spots, Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
Since then, we’ve noticed two more restaurants pop up with the Mobile Order Table Service To Go feature: Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Resort and The Wave…of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. But now it looks like another restaurant will be getting the feature soon, too!
Whether you’re snagging a Dole Whip or treating yourself to as many Mickey treats as your heart desires, Mobile Order is the real MVP when it comes to getting yourself a quick snack in the parks.
Recently, Disney has decided to extend Mobile Order to select table-service restaurants in the parks and resorts. Until today, Sanaa was the only place you can get food to-go from a table-service location. But, it looks like you’ll be able to enjoy more of your favorite table-service eats and treats without having to stop and dine at the restaurants!
Things may come and go in Disney World as the re-opening of the parks is an evolving situation. While some attractions that we may love have returned, others are taking a hiatus or closing altogether.
Recently, live entertainment hasn’t been back in the parks in the capacity that we’ve been used to in the past. Parades have been switched out for Character Cavalcades, fireworks are just starting to be tested again after being suspended, and character meet-and-greets are currently on a break (even though there are still a few modified character dining options in the parks and resorts).
We still fondly look back on the days we would hide our Halloween candy so we could savor it long after trick-or-treating. But, nowadays we’d rather just indulge on all the spooky snacks and sips that have been popping up in Disney World instead! 😉
Although pumpkin spice and even poison apples have practically been the poster children for Halloween treats in the parks, there’s something just so nostalgic about candy corn this time of the year. And Disney’s been serving up looks with Candy Corn Witch Ears and mixing up candy corn treats in the parks and resorts for guests of all ages to enjoy!
Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Saratoga Springs!
And, we’ve got plenty of entertainment, merchandise, and food updates to share with you, so let’s dive right on in!
Halloween has crept into Disney World and filled our days in the parks with tricks and treats!
We’ve been picking up goodies like the returning Pumpkin Spice Sundae (😍), Constance’s For Better or For Worse Wedding Cake, and the new Headless Horseman Rides Again Dole Whip! But, you can make double the toil and the trouble with a line-up of spooky sips that will be heading to the Disney Resorts soon too.
Disney has reopened some of its hotels and resorts in Disney World, other areas of the United States, and around the world, but some still remain closed.
Now, we’ve got an update from Disney about how many hotels they expect to have reopened by the end of their fiscal year.
Although Downtown Disney welcomed back guests in July, the rest of Disneyland Resort remains closed.
And it seems that Disneyland’s reopening continues to get delayed, with reservations most recently canceled through September 12th. At the time, guests could only make reservations after September 15th.
While several Disney World resorts remain closed, others have been open for a while or have just recently reopened.
We’ve loved visiting some of our favorite spots and seeing what’s new. Recently, we made a trip around to some more of our favorite hotels and some of the areas around them — check out what new things we found!
